I actually hate how bad ESPN's coverage is. Ruined so much of the playoffs. I guess one downside of being contenders is we'll get less games where we can just switch to the Ryan and Creg comfy home coverage in favour of garbage national coverage who can't remotely pronounce Alpi's (absolutely not difficult to pronounce at all unless you're SUPER ignorant) name.
Yeah it’s going to be rough. I really wished NBC and the league would’ve pushed for ABC and NBC to alternate Finals too. Or Prime for that matter. Ever since they fired JVG, it’s been spiraling fast in terms of game coverage with first Doc - the Hoarse - Rivers as part of their main crew, only saved because Bucks were dumb enough to give him a coaching gig and now having Jefferson alongside the nasal Burke as their mains. Awful.
I actually don't mind Richard Jefferson as a person/pundit, but he's not got the voice for TV, it's too high pitched and whiney sounding. And yeah Doris is not at all good.

Yeah the only tough stretches could be around xmas time, 2nd week of feb, & late march. Last 5 are with possibly 4 playoff teams, but 3 of those are at home.
That’s a great schedule with lots of nationally televised games, no more bullshit NBA TV games though they had the most insightful post game, but the structure was just stupid with local broadcasters yet they air it as well. I thought with every single day now nationally televised games we’d have something like 30-40 and some times 50-60 even. Really like this new national schedule in general, with 2 channels for Saturday and Sunday and both days having afternoon games at times. We got some respect for sure, even getting games vs. Jazz, Suns, Magic, Heat. Bring it on
7 of the first 37 games are on national TV. Then starting 15Jan, 21 of the final 45 games are national. That may be a reflection of the NFL season more than anything else. There are 13 back-to-backs. I think the NBA should reduce the playoffs by 3-4 days (esp the Finals) and reduce the number of btbs during the season. There is one 5-game road trip. It begins after the Emirates cup and culminates with the Christmas Day game against the Lakers. Because of higher tickets prices, I'll definitely go to fewer games. Too bad they don't play at home on MLK Day because ticket prices are pretty cheap. No New Years Eve game at home. Probably will have to catch the Blazers, Jazz or some EC team nobody in Houston cares about. I may skip the entire season for the first time in a long while.
