Donald should have worn a Chelsea shirt or a Sport shirt instead of his ugly tie.

He shouldn't have been up there at all. Do the medals and the hand shakes...and then get the f*** off the stage.

For those who know football history... we might see another Menotti 1978 moment next year. Would love it.

I'd love it if it were to happen again that the winning captain shoves President Diapers off the stage.

I'm happy about this. Got it done in time for him to join in on the US preseason tour. Might feel a little expensive but the dude scored 20 goals with 7 assists in the Premier League and is still only 25. Having him and Cunha at the 10s is going to be a massive improvement over the sh*tshow that was last season. Even if we don't improve at the 9, I'm confident these 2 create more goals naturally.

Expensive signing, but we desperately needed a new winger and he was the main target for Kompany. Offense still looks great, if everybody would just find a way to stay healthy.

What's your thoughts on Sesko? You've seen him way more than I have. Not sure he's worth what Newcastle and United are offering but he would have to be an upgrade on Hojlund and Zirkzee who are just not good enough. The highlights I've see show him to have a good touch and good instincts...but he doesn't seem to score as much as you'd want someone whos in the Bundesliga maybe coming to the PL.

Huge potential, but just like Leipzig in general wasn't quite consistent last year. Haaland-like type, fast but also sturdy. I think he would best fit with a counter-attacking team due to his athleticism, not sure if he would suceed in a team like Bayern where 95% of the time the opponent parks the bus. Wouldn't pay 80-90M€ for him, but on the other side that's today's market.

And it looks like he's basically ours. From what little I've seen, I agree with your assessment and I think he will fit this system well as they want to counter and run from the back. If he can play with his back to goal and then hit the space, it should work well. Additionally, we've not had someone that can win crosses and corners (other than Harry Maguire). Sesko can get in the air. Still not sure of the price but he should definitely be an improvement over the crap we currently have.

This is strange to me. Not that he's coming to the MLS...but to a team that is well known for being one of the biggest s*** shows in the league. Bad ownership. A terrible stadium with a poor pitch. He could've had his pick of cities. Vancouver itself is very nice...so maybe that's all he needed.

My guess is Müller is just not made for the bright city lights, which is why he declined Bayern's partner club in L.A. (Bayern pushed for him to sign there). He enjoys the mountains and horse breeding, his wife is a professional in horseback riding, so I guess they are not wrong to move to Vancouver. And maybe, just maybe, not having to live in the U.S. is an extra bonus.

For that...I absolutely do not blame him. Plus the climate, I'm guessing, is more like Germany.

This one hurts. True legend, gave it all for Bayern (unlike Sané or Gnabry). Injuries cost him a bigger career, so I can't be mad at him for cashing-in in his late twenties. Always one of us, his 2020 game winner owns a safe spot in the club's history books.

Agreed but I feel like he still has a lot to give. I don't blame him (or anyone else) for cashing in. I've always liked him as a player and I hoped United would go for him. The money they're offering is insane. I thought Bruno Fernandes might be enticed but he held firm.

On another note, I have my UK trip planned. Day 1 is Wrexham vs QPR. Day 2 is United @ City. Touristy stuff during the week and then Chelsea @ United. Depending on the CL draw, might be going to Arsenal vs whomever if they're at home. My best friend, who was a massive Arsenal fan, passed away unexpectedly back in May. I'm planning to go to the stadium regardless and leave some of his ashes there so he can be home. We went there together back in 2021. Either way, I'm insanely stoked. Going to be a great way to celebrate my 50th.

I'm afraid due to his injuries he won't be able to play until 34 or 35, maybe not even 33. Wish him well though and hope he will stay healthy.

Sounds fantastic (except for the dead friend - still awesome to leave a part of him at the stadium). Really happy for you, got lucky on the schedule with some big names in the matchups, looking forward to your reports and maybe some pics?
Just before your trip on Sep 7 I will be in Cologne for Germany/Northern Ireland.

I would hope that would be a fairly simple one. Is that WC Qualifying?

Yes, our only kind of decent matchup in the Qualifiers. Cologne will be one big party with the Irish in town, will try to catch some of that atmosphere. But am double pissed that Musiala got injured and I won't get to see him.
