I guess I’m in the minority. This is the last thing I wanted was to face OKC on opening night on national television. Not that I’m afraid of them but just wanted to develop that rhythm and chemistry having several new players. You know there’s going to be a lot of hot takes after that game, good or bad.
Think of it this way, there’s a lot of excitement and has some similarities to 17-18. That season we had brought in CP3, signed Tucker as the big FA and picked up Mbah a Moute and opened at Golden State and beat them 122-121 where our defense and new look was on full display. It was a true test and even if we’d lost, we would’ve passed with flying colours. Now we’re heading into the season with the big KD trade, signed DFS and picked up Okogie & Capela. Should be a great test!
I wouldn't be surprised if we beat OKC on opening night. We know what's coming... they don't. 1st time ever having to start a season after winning a championship... ring night too... it will be an interesting night.

Nice!! Would’ve been great if we could’ve had one on NBC as well, then it was exactly split between all broadcasters. But at least only one ESPN and a home game with Craig & Ryan. This season will be raining national games with all these extra ones with NBC doing triple-headers and basically starting January we will get national games on every single day of the week.
