Nice series win against the Yankees. Loved how Correa and Altuve lead the charge. Great game by Alexander. Was that back to back quality starts by him?

Might as well be a lifer at this point. I doubt he wants to do the FA rigamarole again at age 33 and basically end up becoming a journeyman.

He’s also planning on staying within the game after he’s done, whether its announcing (which he showcased on the studio playoff shows, he’s a bonafide natural) or being a front office guy (which was what impressed that studio the most… his grasp of analytics and how players’ true worth is calculated).

Even with those games/meltdown (one game), his numbers are dominant.

without those, it’s HOF type stuff.

Paul O'neil on the away broadcast was very complimentary of his analysis skills as well and was impressed at how natural it was.

I can’t figure out why Trammell would come in for Sanchez? Did Sanchez get injured?

He certainly embarrassed the hell out of all the other studio guys (Granderson?, Rollins?…. Pedro is great because he’s just Pedro).

Just walked on the set and everybody learned more in the 5 minutes he spoke vs. the hours of endless drawl these ex-players serve up (in between laughing badly at each other’s jokes or being captain obvious).

Paul O’Neill probably like “its really hard doing what I do… and where’d you get two from?” (Sorry, can’t stop with all the Seinfeld references).

I think 12 innings and zero runs, iirc.

That and every other fan base covets these guys when they’re FA’s…. At this point, they’re what the Patriots were at the end of the Brady era. Hated by everybody but their own fan base… and respected across all realms.
