Not a Joe fan but this a triple A lineup he’s working with.

Pythagoras says we should be 58-48, we are 60-46

You do know that formula is solely based on run differential, correct? You can literally calculate it any time you want.

For the most part, runs = wins. And we’re getting to the point of the year where the sample size is large enough to say teams are relatively who they are.

Obviously this Astros team is not the Astros team it should be in 2 weeks…. So we may have to rely on Euclid and Archimedes for the time being.

Go talk to Isosceles, and bring Euclid with you

    Stros +2, M's +1, Rangers -7

    Jays +5, Tigers +1, Yankees -5

Yeah, no it's not. We're 5 games ahead despite playing a AAA roster.

I swear, fans' expectations when it comes to coaches/managers are ridiculous. There's a decent chance Espada wins AL Manager of the year and there are still fans wondering if he should be fired. Give me a break.

Will Joe be back in 2026. I say no if they don’t make the playoffs

fair or not, a late season collapse usually results in firing the manager or should anyways

I say no regardless... full sweep cleanup of coaching staff, save Miller/Murphy. I could see some AAAA guys come up... but 3B, hitting, strength/conditioning/stretching coaches should be considering different uniforms / ball clubs / private practices in 2026.

(Borrowed from the Yankees series thread)

This was obviously from 2022… and the top right was the presumption of what was definitely going to happen that off-season.

Clearly the sons don’t have that drive/killer-instinct that George had… and they must be very close to Boone (both the manager and the ex-player that cemented a lot of loyalties with the 2003 walkoff). Sometimes you get owners who just don’t care as much to where it’s just not worth it (shades of McNair-Kubiak 2009-ish?).

This version of the Yanks being owned by George would be absolutely hilarious. They'd have a new manager after every Postseason series they lost to the Stros.
