I cannot fathom how you continually outdo yourself by making worst post of the year candidate after worst post of the year candidate.

It has to be trolling, someone cannot be this wrong about seemingly everything they say.

We WILL run an effective offense this season. I truly believe Green was unable to play within structure. Green’s offense was less than team oriented (Milkhair sticky ball). Sengun’s numbers will go up because the offense will have flow.

Everybody's efficiency will go up because (1) Jalen is gone [addition by subtraction] and (2) KD is here [addition by addition].

Um, you can whine yourself outta reality but keep in mind this came from Udoka himself. They had to find away to keep Sengun on the floor because his defensive shortcomings, which was the birth of the double big. Sengun was getting picked on every game & coach figured out a loophole. Just stating facts homie

The double big lineup was to mask the limitations of our terrible offense. Our best possession was often a missed shot into an offensive rebound.

It did give us extra possessions that’s for sure. I’d say after it became obvious that we could get more possessions without sacrificing points on defense because Sengun could play defense effectively in zone it was a no brainer though. Got to give Sengun props for that.

You should be with DD cheering for him. I've been worried for him due to DD myself. Even Yao kept breaking his body thanks to DD's fandom.

I don't disagree entirely but we aren't the only team using a "double big" line up. OKC runs a double big, as do NYK and Boston. I'm sure there might be others. My point is, I don't think it was only to mask Sengun's defense but maybe other reasons. Like exploiting our offensive rebounding superiority when both bigs were on the floor. We didn't win for our efficient offense. We won because we were good for putting the ball in the basket AFTER our inefficient offense missed the shot. At least that's how I remember it.

The double big line up was to mask Houston's terrible offense.
Sengun had to play with a miserable shooting team.
A man who would easily average tripple double in any team, at least 50 percent of his asists were wasted by brick breaker Jalen, Jabari, Brooks etc.
He finally will have a chance to play with real offensive player.

Yeah but OKC has bigs like Chet that can shoot. We're the only team with 2 traditional bigs that play under the rim. The only main reason was too take away teams isolating Sengun. Other teams has their reasons

Please show the Udoka quote. I think you are mis-remembering.

Yeah this is just made up. Team had a lot of issues last year but Sengun's defense definitely wasnt one of them.

IIRC Udoka did mentioned about helping Sengun on defense, but nothing specific like how the double big lineup worked on defense, and definitely nothing like "hiding" Sengun's defensive weakness.

I think some of Sengun doubters interpreted it to be saying the double big lineup was for hiding Sengun's defensive shortcoming.

Defense is more teamwork than individual defenders working on their own. Everyone is covering everyone's weaknesses. Very few players like Amen who can do pretty much everything on defense. Most players are either too slow or too small. You want to maximize each player's strengths and minimize each one's weaknesses. Same principle on offense, except that on offense, a real talented guy (superstar) can dictate a lot of things. Individual dominance on defense is less pronounced.

I'm glad you said it because I was sat here thinking "huh, when the **** did that happen?" I was about to search for it myself thinking I'd totally missed something. I genuinely thought the double big was for the offensive advantage it gave us rather than defensive? Adams banging in the posts for rebounds allowed Alpi to feast against power forwards and Adams could do the cleanup work meaning Alpi didn't have to wear himself out more than he already was with the massively increased defensive performance he had last year. That's literally what I thought it was or did I totally get that wrong?

    No he is not mainly.
He is an inside beast mainly, but others do not have any offensive skillset other than shooting...
We dont expect Sengun to shoot, we expect other brick breakers to shoot and make his asists...
