The season has started catastrophically for the Rockets with the Rockets losing back to back games. One to the defending champs and one to the once maligned Toronto team. The Rockets look miserable on the court and the games are very tough to watch. Even tougher than last year's. Let's be realistic folks, the Rockets is a bad team. The Rockets aren't playing poorly or not playing to potential, they just stink. Besides the two "stars", this team is a mixture of journeyman players such as Mutumbo, Howard, Lue, the list goes on and on. So why then are "fans" in this forum so shocked that the Rockets just literally sucks? Why are we so surprised that the team is doing poorly? The team has no three point shooters besides Nachbar and Jackson, and the 4 and 5 positions are softer than Marshmellows. Yes, Yao is soft and he'll never be anything more than a 17-18 and 8 guy.

This brings us to the irony of ironies. Why do "fans" who advocate the trade for T-Mac so shocked that the team is losing? Weren't these the same people who said the team must suffer in wins in order to win in the future? Well what do these same people have to say now, but that they expect the Rockets to lose and that it's going to be a long season? Why a change of tune all of the sudden? Why do we expect this team to go deep into the playoffs and contend?

The Rocket's are proving slowly that my idea and also Stevie F's idea of not wanting to break a good, young team up with great upside and 1 or 2 players away from being a very good contender for T-Mac and a bunch of average and under average journeymen. I am enjoying every minute of this. I am enjoying it when Yao and T-Mac and JVG loses because all I can think of is"I told you so!" Those who advocate the trade should be patient and wait out at least 2-3 years before the Rockets can be very good once again. This may be thru draft picks or trades but instead of needing a 4 and a 6th man, the Rockets now need a 1,4, 3 because Jackson's old, a backup 3 beacue The Polish guy's gone and a sixth man. good luck fans and good luck carrol dawson!! You're going to need it!!

    FROM A ROCKETS FAN!!

Wow the Rockets sure do have the best fans in the world. We loose two games and its the end of the world. Where's the support at? I seriously find hard to believe that the season is over because of two poorly played games. I am pretty sure there are going to be more days like this but it doesnt mean that we as so called "Rockets fans" have to give up on our team. The mistakes that the Rockets made in the two games they lost are fixable. Give them a freakin break for gosh sakes. Two games in no way can dictate a whole season. Has anyone learned anything from the Astros? I can guarantee all the doubters will be proved wrong by the end of the season.

Now wait a second, guys. Tbul is right.

We're on a two game losing streak and there's not much time left to pick it up. We've only got 80 games left in the regular season!

This thread is actually being quoted on an Orlando Magic board. In fact, i'm gonna say tbui is one of them posting here in secret.

What's got me curious is why all of a sudden we have all of these posts about how bad we suck suddenly coming from all of these people that never post at all. It's like they've been waiting for the right time to bash the Rockets and now it's time. This must be at least the 3rd thread I've read today that someone with less than 100 posts has started in order to tell us how bad our team sucks. Maybe you, along with your friends, need to realize something. You can find flaws in any team, I don't care who they are. OH NO!! We don't have anymore superstars around Yao and TMac so we suck. Well 1) it would be quite expensive to do that and 2) you can't have a superstar everywhere even if you were able to sign them because you can't keep all of them happy no matter how hard you try. Who was the next best player on the Lakers after Kobe and Shaq in their title years? I'd have to say Rick Fox or Derek Fisher. Your right Yao and TMac aren't Shaq and Kobe yet, but who said they were going to be immediately, if ever. I'd have to say I'm very pleased about our surrounding cast, sure you could always do better but you have to draw the line somewhere. Comparing their next best players to ours would have to go advantage Rockets. Juwan Howard, Mo Taylor > Rick Fox, and even if Derek Fisher is better than Ward or Lue I wouldn't say it's as great a difference as Howard and Mo are above Fox.

The bottom line is you can complain all you want about wanting more, but there's always a limit. We have 2 great players and now we need to give them time to play together, you can't expect results right away. If you want to bash us after 2 games then you and your other Noobie friends need to go elsewhere because we're here to support our team until it's obvious changes need to be made or things just aren't working out. This is not one of those times. Why don't you get your friends and go whine about something else, like why your wasting our time.
