2nd year vince carter was a completely different NBA era - gary payton led the nba in 3pa with 6.3 a game (the current leader this year was Anthony Edwards with over 11.) That said VC was in top 50 or so overall in 3PA back then. He was never a pure inside player.
Yeah, I think there's not much chance of him being in the GOAT conversation like LeBron and being the best player in the league for like a decade-plus. Definitionally, the odds of that are incredibly low. But I do have a lot of faith in his ability to improve, and I personally think he can be an All-NBA level player, perhaps even a top 5 player who is in MVP conversations at his peak.
Oh for sure, I think Amen is the best thing we have to look forward to no question at all. I just think people need to slow their roll saying that he's the most athletic player in the league ever. He aint **** compared to young LeBron, never mind many other athletic freaks. People go too far with their homerism tbh, he's incredible but if he was in the all-time category he'd have never come off the bench for anybody. That's what LeBron's all-time athleticism meant, he was one of the best the second he stepped on the court, and whilst he's very skilled he did a lot of that basically just being a physical superhero. There's just levels to it.
Go to about the 30 minute mark: Jeff calls him the most athletic player he's ever seen. Pretty much echoes my exact thoughts from earlier in this thread.
Yea lots of folks in NBA circles are saying he’s currently the most athletic dude in the league. Zero surprise here.
