2 SL games = too little
3 total NBA starts = "substantial"

Choosing to be part of the Reed defense force is def a choice.

At what point are you going to move on and pretend to be a Suns fan now that your boyfriend is gone?

Lin fans didn't hang around too long, you guys need to follow in their footsteps.

There's nothing but pain ahead for you now that the Rockets are unburdened by your favorite draft bust.

You're the one slobbering over Mobley why are you projecting? Jalen Green turned into Kevin Durant so why will I leave? Why don't you leave since you love Mobley so much? Mobley has nothing to do with the Rockets. In fact Mobley refused to even work out for the Rockets he is hostile to the Rockets. So why dont you follow Mobley to the Cavs?

I'm the one with the boyfriend? You are the one obsessed with Reed Sheppard. Remember all the times you said Green can't shoot straight? But now you all over Reed Sheppard who has shot worse than Green? lol You ate all your high standards for Reed Sheppard you are the one in love here not me.

You are such a hypocrite. I remember you used to hate on Jalen for shooting below average from 3 now you keep saying Reed has picture perfect mechanics when the guy is shooting worse than Green. Picture perfect but shooting 3s and free throws worse than Jalen Green who said you has a broken shot? LOL what a clown.

You keep calling Jalen a draft bust but he has outperformed Reed Sheppard, and Reed is a top 3 pick. And this is why you are so upset, you immediately crashed out when I said JG has shot better than Reed LMAO.

Maybe Sheppard will bat pretty eyes at the Jenner family and it adds to the entertainment of Draya and Jalen, roslolian and Bobby.

lol why yes, I certainly put those real nba games when he starts, against real, strong opponents ahead of those meaningless (too little) SL games in which he was surrounded by scrubs, who wasted possessions after possessions. Not to mention that one of those games in which he was not injured, he showed more than enough.

Sorry my guy, this is my choice. I know what I’m talking about.

We thought he was a metrics guy. Reed's a low IQ chucker by his standards

Reeds rookie 3FG% is better than JG's 3rd yr 3FG%

Lets at least wait for Reed's sophomore year and compare it to Jalen's 4th year

    better than being a Nalen

4 years all the starts, minutes, chances, shots
    1 7-game playoffs series

simply not a winning player worst of the core

Looking forward to the new season of Reed. I think this year he'll be at 44% FG and 37% 3PT on 8-9 PPG.

What about assists? As long as he is not total toast on defense and puts up these offensive numbers over about 15 mins, he will be an adequate backup guard for us. Expect FVV and Amen to both log monster minutes this year.

Yeah that's the hope. Reed got screwed in a way by getting put in such a good team as a rookie. He didn't get nearly as much leeway as Risacher for example. But in his second year Reed should be feeling much more comfortable, and Ime will have much more trust in him.

Honestly he still looked a little raw in the summer league.

At this point I think Sheppard‘s biggest weakness is physical strength. The second most detrimental thing to him getting minutes is his handle. These are more than a year away from being good enough to let’s say handle the ball half the time as the smallest player on the court (6’2-6’3, will mostly guard PG’s).

Shooting and putting on muscle should be his urgent goals if he wants lots of minutes asap. Even without an excellent handle he’d be an excellent off ball player. The handle he needs a couple of years work on it before he can run a contender’s offense.

This year FVV will play 32 minutes probably. Leaves 16 minutes for someone to guard the shortest player on the other team’s 2nd unit. I think he can handle that as long as in those 16 minutes we start him off completely off ball catch and shoot spacer. Then you let him bring the ball up a little and hopefully by the end of the regular season he’s comfortable with the ball in his hands on a few plays.

He can definitely fill that role if he can put on muscle faster. Can someone accidentally juice him up lol

Ultimately it’s just what I expected. His timeline is just one year later than what we expected before the draft. Instead of a 1-2 year project, he’s a 3 year project. Not bad.

Except Jalen was a starter and Reed has been riding at the end of the bench.

Jalen’s comparison should be to someone like Corey Brewer the Houston goat.

The media loved Sheppard way before he was drafted. Even if he fails, they would say he had everything in the making, it just would not happen.

I sure cannot remember them loving Curry when he was coming out of Davidson.

    That came a lot later.

To be honest at least for me that would be a disappointment. He was drafted to hit open shots. He was drafted as the greatest shooter in the draft and probably of the past couple of drafts. I get that a rookie season is always challenging and I guess it is extra challenging under Udoka. But now as a second year player that probably gets consistens minutes, I expect him to hit 38-40% on open threes. I would expect his deficiencies to come from being overpowered on defense or turning the ball over, but I want him to at least make his shots at a great rate.

I hope they follow this template. Frankly, they should follow it with FVV for his 32 mins except for bringing the ball up more, but giving it up as soon as possible.

I'm just trying to keep my expectations reasonable. 38-40% is elite spot-up 3PT shooting and it would be great if he reaches it this year, but 37% would already be above league average and considering his rookie year efficiency it would be a huge step forward already. I won't be disappointed if he shows gradual improvement in efficiency with a slightly scaled up role. If he surpasses my expectations, that's great.
