Even with FVV in the starting lineup, a starting lineup of FVV / Amen / KD / Smith / Sengun is still a really tall team. We led the league last season in rebounds per game, and we're replacing Green and Brooks with much taller players in KD and Smith.
I'm not religious, but if I were, I'd pray for our guys to stay healthy and kick a*s. Goodness will follow.
That's an encouraging interview with the LakersGround.net fellow, who paid several compliments to Finney-Smith, calling him a glue guy who immediately made a difference when they got him. It's worth listening to his take. Like pretty much everyone I've heard, from damn near every sports media outlet, he praised the depth and talent of the Rockets, sounding more than a little envious.
DFS on essentially a 2 yr deal is a great move to replace Dillon Brooks (getting cheaper for a more consistent shooter) but now we can see superior players like NAW and Ty Jerome going for similar amount or even Gary Trent Jr signing for the minimum. To me this does make the signing a bit worse but I guess since this is essentially just a 2 yr deal Rox can dump him and look for a replacement in 2027.
I don't know about y'all but I have a feeling Dorian Finney-Smith is going to become a fan favorite and we are all going to be surprised by his level of impact on winning. I'm enjoying the summer but looking forward to October when I can lay on my bed with a beer in my hand and my dinner I. The other and my wife disgruntled because I'm watching another game and my boys taking half interest in it while I explain the finer points of the game to them.
As much as I liked brooks I’d say DFS is an upgrade to him and I would even start him over fvv. Amen / DFS / KD/ Jabari / sengun starters Fvv / okogie / Eason /Adams 9 man rotation.
I've tried to get into this thread, but I can't bring myself to read about someone who is not The Franchise Player.
