Yeah his numbers don't look great . His chase percentage has fallen off a cliff

His slider still looks decent so I don't know why he's not using it more

I'm unfamiliar with the cost of bringing him back
He's certainly not worth going into the tax for (if we haven't ) or paying anymore than a couple of million for .

Presley had 1 bad outing prior to the allstar break (gave up 8 runs an no outs - eek). He was spectacular other than that. Post all-star break he’s given up a run every game he’s pitched.

Maybe he tired out as the season went on, but he still has good stuff. An Astros reunion would be great, he can go in and close out non save games. Or he can chime in and pitch to help save the arms from being so overloaded.

Plus everyone knows he won’t fold under the spotlight. If he gets beat, it wasn’t because it had anything to do with nerves. He’s an older veteran, but I think he could be a valuable contributor for the Astros

Unfortunately, his exit was not the best and he didn't coexist well being out of the closer spot. Also, the bullpen struggled last year with him in it but has been very good this year. Can't say it was all him last year but his attitude definitely could've effected how well they played. No-go for me unless he relents and accepts a partial role.

Miller and Murphy will have tremendous say over whether the Astros want a reunion with Pressly.

Ryan Pressly is an Astros Legend, no matter what happens from now on.

Hope they don't reunite with him. He was so down in Cubs that got some mental coaching from rando pos players "you can still do it" style. He looked beaten and scary on mound. Even if he would be ready for just mop up, it's kinda ackward for everyone to use former hero like that.
