Cease has been crap this season. I know we have a history of turning guys around...but that can't last forever. If the f*cker didn't want to be here, then he can continue to be absolute s*it for the Whales Vagina Daddy's.
I’ll shut up after this cause I never have serious insight on any of this but I shared Cease doesn’t like Astros. Bullet dodged
So we gave up a 26 year old A ball pitcher with a career 6.46 ERA in the minors for Correa and 33 million dollars? Seems incredibly fair....
In my lifetime, I cannot remember a halfway decent organization with some modicum of recent success/mediocrity go into the fire sale that Minny just did. Big picture, they absolutely had to dump Correa’s contract and his no trade clause/insistence on the Astros gave Crane all the leverage. $23MM AAV for three years for a 30 year old Correa is plenty fine risk/value wise. But in the context of our needs at this moment in time, it is amazing.
Was he the Whitesox that commented on the 2017 we cheated better than everyone scandal? I remember it was a Whitesox pitcher just don't remember which one.
Elated to see Charlie Morton reunited with Hinch. Keeps his streak of 9 straight years in the post season. With 4 different teams!
Dana really fleeced today. Offense now looks elite with guys slowly returning. C Diaz, Caratini IF Walker, Altuve, Correa, Pena, Urias, Dezenzo OF Smith, Meyers, Sanchez, Dubon, Alvarez Melton, McCormick & Trammell (for now)
I'm ok with this. We've filled the hole left by the Paredes injury. We've improved the infield defense. We've added a lefty bat. Dubin is coming back soon. Spencer, Javier, and Garcia aren't far off (I'm not a France fan and would be fine leaving him in AAA). And we gave up almost nothing for players that aren't rentals. We also now have a ton of flexibility going into 2026 with some tradeable major league talent.
I wanna say that was one of their better relief pitchers that said that. Maybe it was a starter. Someone remember who it was? Didn't this come out when we were slated to play them in the playoffs in 2021? It was one of the press conferences.
Is this true? If so, that is HUGE. If this is accurate, then it's genuinely been a master class day for Dana Brown and the front office.
