Just a question. Is there a situation you could see us use a tackle eligible play against the beefier lines? I'm thinking this for a power max play. Robinson 320 Tackle Eligible Brown 355 LT Tomlinson 323 LG Patterson 310 C Howard 322 RG Ersary 331 RT
I know this is true, but our hurdles to an AFC Championship (and Superbowl) go through beefy run capable teams like the Ravens and Chiefs. So we have to have an answer.
I think further decline is highly implausible. You would have to be tanking to play worse than last year.
Agreed, there is no way in hell we will be as bad as last year. last year was a 3/10 and if we can just be 5/10 or 6/10 I will be over the moon. I do think it will take the first 5-6 games to get the chemistry and timing and I am sure we can count on one major injury but I have a feeling we can be above average the last half of the season......................keep ramping up until the playoffs and we have a real chance at doing something special And boy, will we get a test on game one in LA, that will be a great litmus test............this is such a great time of year, everyone is filled with hope and everyone is UNDEFEATED. I`m drinking the Kool Aid baby!!
No doubt Tunsil was good, but he was no DAWG and had horrible accountability skills.................give me a dawg who may not be as talented as Tunsil who will give 100% and cares about the guys next to him, Tunsil wanted the $$ but not the ring
It's a little like a batter with a great BA with few XBH, no walks, gets doubled up all the time, gets picked off base and can't field the ball. His rating doesn't tell the whole story.
We dont know this. Tell me, what would you consider holding Tunsil accountable look like? We do know over the last 5 years Tunsil has had absolute crap playing next to him at LG. Green/McCann/Howard/Scharping... Yuk.
Correct, it doesn't tell the whole story. I'm surprised Tunsil looked as good as he did playing next to crap at LG. Ask Myles Garrett. T.J. Watt etc... what it's like to try to rush the passer against Tunsil.
Agreed, how do you expect Tunsil to look good playing next to guys like Green/Howard/Scruggs etc... It's a team game and playing next that suckage makes me wonder how Tunsil looked as good as he did.
playing next to **** was helpful for tunsil. opposing defenses dont game plan to go at him. they game plan to attack the garbage interior pass protection. as soon as kenyon green would get in the game other teams would run stunts right at him.
OK, well I have seen Myles Garrett lineup across from Tunsil many times and then after not being able to get to the QB switch over to Howard's side. BTW, playing next to a crappy player is never helpful.
