The Kennedy thing is negligible. Arnold won because he's a charasmatic movie star that tapped into a segment of middle class voters that didn't like Gray Davis' car tax.
actually I believed he did during his sportscentury feature on espn. he was talking about his new found fame and wealth with his grandma who was saying that republicans were bad or something and he told her that he was republican and she was like you are? and he was like yeah i'm rich. i dont know if it would be good or bad for alabama to have barkley as a governer i am sure a lot of things would change for the state. it would be a hell of a lot more fun to see him try to win a senate race. I am sure C-SPAN's ratings would set record highs.
oh yeah its hard to see what jeff has but martha stewart has only 900 bucks, its real early in the show right after the first commercial break where trebek talks to the contestants. a lot of people on the show will only have 100 or 0 dollars at that point because only 4-6 "answers" will have been asked. give chuck a bit more credit than that i am sure he went on to answer some questions correctly.
Barkley has claimed many times to be a Republican, giving the reasoning that he's rich and because Democrats talk a lot about making things better for blacks but rarely follow through on anything. However, he made his hatred for Bush known this last year and said that if Bush won the White House again, he would run for governor as a Democrat... or... something like that. It's Barkley; he coulda been drunk.
I'll take "the rapists" for a thousand, Alex. Barkley sucked on jeopardy, he didn't answer a question until deep in the second round and rarely buzzed in. Martha and Jeff Probst kicked his ass.
