Before this year, has he missed time for his hand since 2022? I don’t recall offhand, but if not hopefully whatever he did that offseason he can do again and it allows him to heal.
I guess you can look at the raw numbers, or you can look at these numbers and decide which numbers you believe in the most.
The only reason Correa's name has come up is because Paredes is hurt. Speaking of being hurt that's something that happens to Correa quite a bit. Gms played 2017 109 2018 110 2019 75 2020 covid 2021 148 2022 136 2023 135 2024 86 2025 93 So the Twins eat some of the salary. He's still going to be making over 20 million per season. Go compare his #s this season to Dubon's. Basically the same. Obviously Correa is way better defensively but is he worth paying that much more? Any money that is given to Correa is money that could be given to a more productive player or extending someone or addressing a few areas of needs next season. If Correa didn't play here previously and Paredes wasn't hurt we wouldn't be having this discussion. Correa isn't a difference maker especially what he's being paid. It's a nice feel good move and he would be good in the clubhouse but at what he's being paid and his lack of being durable I'll pass.
and that's why i brought up the Bakhatari situation. I'm a GB fan and it was a big time drag on the team if he will/won't play for like two whole seasons
Jim Crane is a deal maker when it comes to money. He also is willing to pay the price for his favorite players even if this means having to pay the LT. My question is how do you draft guys feel about having to give up picks to acquire Correa? Losing picks wouldn't really bother me for 3 !/2 years of Correa.
Go get Carlos Correa We need him this year and next years lineup would **** 1. Pena ss 2. Altuve lf 3. Paredes 2b 4. Alvarez dh 5. Correa 3b 6. Smith rf 7. Walker 1b 8. Uncle Vic or Diaz 9. Meyers cf
I'm not sure how we jumped from trading for Correa to somehow trading Yordan in the offseason. There's exactly a 0% chance Yordan is getting traded. If his hand is still iffy, you're going to get pennies on the dollar. If his hand is healthy, you'd be trading on the best hitters in baseball that you have signed for an excellent price (something you can't ever do elsewhere since you don't pay elite free agents) during a window where you're trying to World Series. There's no way they'd ever do this.
yes for his contract, I'm ok with Yordan even missing 1-2 months of the reg season (ofc no playoffs) with the amt we're paying him. No way I'm trading too while his value is at a low
