so it's a more srs movie than the previous 2 chris evans 4 fantasticos movie. thoughts of mine.

    - couldn't care less about the earth 848 world, they could all die and nothing would be lost. when will the 4 fantastics move to earth 616?
    - the world building of the futuristic 60s was underwhelming. but i guess they're leaving that universe anyway.
    - who tf is franklin? this was never mentioned in the previous 20th century fox movies.
    - not a fan of she-surfer. is there a comic precedence or are they just gender swapping for the t***?
    - sue's force push scene was dope.
    - would sue storm. she could sit on my face.
    - overall character development was done better in the previous fox movies. didn't feel any attachments to these new characters.
    - galactius was a let down. the villain didn't seem strong at all. he's just a giant metal breh with beautiful eyes.
    - is johnny fireman a genius in the comics? the fox movies made him look like a frat breh out to have fun. in this one he's a language scientist.
    - i thought this movie will have the 4 (5?) fantastics move to earth 616. disappoint. wanna see that world die and the good guys escape.
    - 2nd post credit scene suxs, but dope they set up doom.
    - the rock's voice sounds similar to ruffalo

overall would give it a 8/14

Best movie Marvel has done since Infinity War for me. I hated End Game due to expectations. Its always about expectations. Marvel has been dropping these goofy, disorganized story lines for a while.

Had a more serious tone to it, and the characters feel like they could carry in Avengers movies moving forward.

Joseph Quinn is going to be a household name soon.

We haven't seen that since Chris Evans, RDJ, Hemsworth.

    9/10

    Gets me excited for Doomsday.

Hard to add or disagree with anything in this review.

Pascal - definitely a miscast. The actor's whole aura is centered around being likeable and warm. Not exactly Reed Richards-y. It doesn't ruin anything, but it's a wasted opportunity. Cant blame them for playing it safe though.

Johnny Storm is a genius in the comics and Shalla-Bal becomes a Silver Surfer in alternate universe stories in the 90s. There are other female silver surfers too, but not as main characters

    Edit- I'm wrong about Johnny

Which comics or series is Storm a genius? Canonically, he was always just "a college dude"-type, hot-tempered, sometimes poor-decision-making, lady's man, with possibly a bit above-average intelligence type of character. Maybe stuff has changed in the past couple of decades or maybe we're talking "another universe". Reed, of course, was super-intelligent. Grimm, in the comics, I think had degrees in engineering and chemistry, but came off as a moron just because of the way they made him talk. lol.

No, you are right, I was typing way ahead of my thinking and mixed something up with Johnny. I would say more mechanically inclined.

He needs to be a little cooler than that, but I'll allow it.

    also...can he have a fenced-in-area?

Yeah, I dunno how "the gram" works, but this is the only place I could find the video

tom cruise transcends comic universes. he could play dr doom and would annihilate the justice brehs and avengers back to back.

I saw it yesterday and I enjoyed it and had fun watching it...................but I would agree that Pedro was miscast in this film, and I love me some Pedro

I give it a solid 7/10 and I am not a huge fan of this series, but like I said I had fun so it's all good

Saw it Saturday night with my sons. We all loved it. Had such a cool vibe. Felt like Marvel finally found the magic and charm again.

I disagree on the miscast of PP. I fully expected to not like him in this film. I was thinking he was going to go into this doing his own thing and I’d see something I’ve already seen him do.

I thought they got he casting right across the board.

I read today that the Dr. Doom scene after the movie was actually RDJ and was shot by the Russo bros. I am really looking forward ro the next few films after being less than thrilled the last few years with most Marvel put out.

They would have to change the character a little (keep the costume, ditch the white skin), but he would be great as Mr. Sinister. I think Billy Bob could pull off the creepiness factor of trying to get Cyclops and Jean Grey to hook up so he could get them to make a child that he sees as the next step in evolution.

Saw it today, it was perfectly fine. Far better than the previous F4 slop, but just OK for Marvel.

At peak Marvel every movie felt like the next episode in a giant series, so even not special movies felt special. I don't think this movie is good enough to generate the hype the franchise really needs heading into the upcoming Avengers titles.

The script for Doomsday is gonna have to be extremely good.
