Ehh. I suspect Trump might have pushed to get Colbert cancelled. But the format is dying anyway. Conceding to that stupid 60 Minutes suit is a far worse affront. I like Colbert fine but I didn't much like his show and won't really notice when it is gone. I do see how networks got their fingers burned playing with wokism. They had niche shows finding success being unapologetically liberal and finding success. Then they brought it to their flagship brands. Maybe it made them feel more relevant to some. But they did exclude a lot of audience.
People have too many options now. He just wasn't funny or interesting like the rest of the survivng hosts - and tries to make up for it , with the help of his lowly writing team, with constant TDS. It's all to cater to a niche instead of a broader audience which is what network television is based on. I would argue the constant far left brow beating of the media is what put Trump in office again. No one likes them.

Colbert hasnt been funny in decades. The character he was in was the only good thing that being said the right needs to stop whining especially when they b**** about cancel culture left and right .
