For this offense, it seems like quite the hill. Hope the trade deadline nets us something positive. Doesn't seem like we've received any positive updates. Gusto and Gordon have been solved, walter is out. Paredes injury requires a 2nd opinion and the pitchers we thought would be ready still need another minor league rehab start. Anyone believe that pena will be back by this weekend?
Pena and Meyers would have made these pitchers look passable. Trammel has a reputation of taking bad routes, and Chas tends to gamble. Short is decent on defense, but he's not a gold glover.
Mariners have had all their best hitters healthy for almost the entire season. It's more surprising they haven't passed us up yet.
I'd be less pissed if we were at least making hard contact on good pitches, but look at the three ground outs from last inning and look at where the pitches were.
Thanks for sharing that insight, I know chas blew that catch yesterday. Interesting that he's out there in CF again. Hopefully Meyers isn't too far behind Pena. Explains why our defense which has been a staple has been coming up Short.
Astros have hit 4 doubles but it’s taken 4 games to accomplish this. That’s putrid even for a half Astros/half Skeeters lineup
Wasn't it a couple of games ago where they hit B/2/B doubles and didn't score, didn't make an out either?
Rangers have the 2nd best run-diff in the AL. They're a problem. The entire American league is living off Astros terrible health though.
the 2 outs magic is gone. the 789 hitters magic is gone. the AAA pitching gems are gone. i genuinely don't know what the houston space cowboys are left with.
Checking the Astros score, checking the Astros injury news, seeing some of these guys still filling out the roster. Hard to watch.
