We can all see prices going up, I see it in subtle ways like buying a rib eye at HEB was $14-$18 and this past Sunday it was $21-$24

I`m not great at knowing what everything should cost, but even I see an uptick and its not just groceries, I have been looking for a new dryer and Ceiling fan at Lowes and havent bought it yet as I had projects in front of these items and the fan and dryer are both higher, and not by < $1, its like a 20%jump

I cant keep up with his start and stop approach, but it looks like Aug 1 everyone except a few will be at 30%................not sure what happened to 90 deals in 90 days and all the countries calling to make beautiful trade deals, but looks like that failed to................IMO by the Holidays the true effects will be apparent just in time for Xmas and Travel, will there be an outcry about the prices or will maga just take it on the chin and give there hard-earned money to the elites like musk and bezos or will they call it out like they did last year?? IMO most of them will bend over and take it and then ask for more, but the fringe voters who wanted a change will not take kindly to the bait and switch

And the Billionaires will be sitting in their mansions at Xmas while the true backbone of America will have less than the previous year......................

Chip design is literally the only thing we do better than China right now in electronics. This is moronic.

Tariffs are working far better than anyone could have predicted.

No evidence of consumer prices increasing on tariff impacted goods. Foreign producers are absorbing them into their margins.

Tariff revenue streaming in by the billions to turn the deficit into a surplus in June

The terms of international trade are improving in America's favor

Manufacturing investment is occurring in the USA

Stock market at an all time high

    GOOD DAY

Also the Ukraine war was a major factor. Ukraine is one of the 5th largest grain suppliers. Russia is a the world’s top supplier of fertilizer and grain and 3rd in oil.

For weeks we have been told AUG 1 is firm, were not moving it....................now I hear his minions saying the "good deal" is more important than the time it takes to get the good deal, leading me to think its TACO Tuesday.............I have a feeling we will hear about an extension this weekend as Aug 1st is rapidly approaching. IMO set the dam tariffs so we can start to see what effects this will have on everyone

OT, you do know that it’s not a deal until it is signed into law by Congress, no?

short of that, it is a trade agreement, subject to approval by Congress

as corroborated by GM’s latest earnings call for Q2 2025.

GM was the latest US Corp to disclose how tariffs raising costs, saying the duties dented profits by more than $ 1 billion

Based on the latest earnings call, in July 2025,

it appears that Japanese automakers are benefiting from Trump 2.0 tariffs
    at the expense of GM

the short version for kids who can't read good:

"The U.S. and Japan have reached a trade agreement, President Trump wrote in a social-media post Tuesday evening, saying he would set his so-called reciprocal tariffs at 15% for the country."
