[Marvel TV] Punisher soft reboot with Jon Bernthal

Bernthal was perfect in the role. That season of Daredevil with him was a masterpiece.


Also if you want to see the people @Xerobull is talking about, we can grab a beer at The Saloon in San Leon whenever.

 

I think he is a fine actor. Are people wanting Daniel Day Lewis to take the role or something sheesh

 

No DDL needed, but I do wish they'd make him flamboyantly gay.

 

That's so intolerant - just accept him for who he is.

 

He already showed up in Daredevil: Born Again, it is obvious they are keeping him on. I hope they bring back Iron Fist (one of my favorite Marvel characters) whether or not they keep the same actor.

 

I'm open to Iron Fist returning if they choose a better actor. Same for Luke Cage.

Netflix really blew the casting on those two. They didn't even roll snake eyes, they rolled two zeros. I can't imagine what they were thinking.

Jon Bernthal was a home run. Charlie Cox was a solid choice. Krysten Ritter was OK.

 

Bernthal is not big enough to play Punisher.

Poor casting.

Also he has the same sideway look no matter what role he plays. Walking Dead, Punisher etc.

One dimensional and boring actor.

 

He was good in The Pacific and We Own This City (eta: Wind River, Fury, Wolf of Wall Street too), but you're right about him not having a whole lot of range as an actor.

 

It was a subtle joke. I quoted a ziggy post from page 2 of this thread. I think the actor is fine.

I like Bernthal and also agree his range is limited. Curious to see how he does in Odysseus.
