They really should've pegged some of those Mariners hitters after they pegged a couple of us yesterday.
Whew at 3-0 I thought we were done for, and they started hitting, and the Mariners started making mistakes......we will take it. DD
...we did? HBPs to Mariner batters this series: Garver (by Brown, H); Arozarena (by King, B); Canzone (by McCullers Jr.); Solano (by Abreu, B).
I'll absolutly take that. Back in the day "bane" meant death or ruin or whatever ("the bane of your existence"). Yall be good.
That was an ugly series BUT my takeaway was they played their asses off Saturday and Sunday so there is no quit in these guys.......with a AAA line up they hung in with the M`s and my goodness Lance is a shell of himself and Hunter wasn't "Hunter"...........I am not sure one trade or acquisition will be the elixir this team needs as we have way too many injuries and no real updates on when anyone comes back but there hanging tough..............If we can sneak a series win VS the D Backs to buy some time, maybe just maybe we can start to get some guys back...........where are you Spaghetti, we need ya brother
Spaghetti's been pitching real games this week in Texas. Its basically like spring training ramp up all over again. 50/50 whether its him or Javier making the first of the returns... but they're both right there barring any unforeseen "discomfort". Pena was supposed to be the first position player back. With Yordan swinging a bat (and waiting on the previously mentioned possible "discomfort"), Jeremy is at risk of causing another injury conspiracy. Yes, rib fractures need to heal or can be very problematic from a breathing/lung standpoint if it somehow gets hit again at the exact same spot and damages something else.... but its also very painful, and he plays a very active position. But he could also be back as soon as next week..
