No offense, but you need to really shut the **** up about this topic. Please, until you learn some things.
What things do you think I need to learn? I'm pretty familiar with the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban missile crisis. There are congressmen/women who would like nothing more than to turn this country into Cuba. Also dont claim some kind of moral or intellectual superiority just because you disagree with me. You dont have standing to make these claims.
Dershowitz isn't exactly trustworthy. ps. The timing of his Op-Ed (now claiming there is no list) coincides with reports that Trump told others to stop talking about the Epstein case. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_Epstein_client_list Lawyer and law professor Alan Dershowitz said in an interview with Sean Spicer on March 19, 2025, that he knew the names of individuals on such a list and unreleased files relating to Epstein, adding that "I know why they're being suppressed. I know who's suppressing them" and that he was "[...] bound by confidentiality from a judge and cases, and I can't disclose what I know".[28][3] Dershowitz had been part of the legal team that negotiated a non-prosecution agreement for Epstein in 2006.[3]
Nobody active in US politics is arguing for a Soviet-style command economy. If anything, they're arguing for an expansion of the social safety net akin to what exists in Europe. Universal healthcare, paid family leave, and tilting the scales in favor of workers instead of executives are not "communist" proposals; they are features in healthy democracies around the world outside of the US.
I don't want a European type govt I believe in the free market and personal responsibility. Obama sold some on the idea that we would be better off with a European type govt. I strongly disagree with this.
That's your prerogative and right. We're able to debate that in a democracy. But don't call it "communism" because that isn't what it is nor are any European countries rushing to emulate Cuba.
Socialism that's headed towards communism. I mean the possible future mayor of New York is a devout communist.
There isn't a country that's become communist since Laos in 1975. As a political theory, it's old news.
