You know it's bad when Dan Ives says the weakfish Tesla BOD should consider taking action. He's far and away Tesla's biggest cheerleader on Wall Street. The Elon Musk saga will not end well.
At some point in the future, Elon Musk will be a cautionary case study not only at Harvard Business School, but also their School of Psychology.
I am just dumb founded that he would tweet about trump knowing that maga would turn on him.....................maybe he was drinking his own Kool Aid, but half the country already hated him and now maga is no bueno. If he would have stuck to building rocket ships, he would not be in this mess, but social media will be his downfall, which is ironic since he owns the biggest cancer in social media I do think the zing about trump being on the Epstein list was funny AF...................and probably true now that the WH says there is no list after saying there was a list
So, Elon started the America Party. I read the process of creating another party requires a lot of filings and such. I don't think a social media tweet covers it.
Don't forget, this is the self-described "free speech absolutist" telling someone to shut up when he doesn't like what they say. Elon Musk is the living, breathing definition of unaware.
the irony is lost on him. a few years ago posters like @Space Ghost and @CXbby were making fun of me because I said other car companies will inevitably catch up. Every response was "competition is coming lolzzz" What they didnt account for was Elon destroying the brand. Now it's robots and robotaxi. Tesla was never a car company they are saying now.. 1T in marketcap. Every shareholder better hope the grand visions of robotaxi plays out or else the fall down will be quick.
I don't know what are the exact problems that Ives has, but he comes across as quite clueless for somebody that is well known for tracking Tesla - Musk. Musk already had a high opinion of himself before his time in - with the Trump Administration. Going back to the Corporate World and being constrained by a BoD (Board of Directors) is something that Musk isn't going to be interested in. Ives should be able to recognize that.......and yet he doesn't seem to.
Poland to report Musk’s xAI to EU over Grok’s offensive comments Poland plans to report Elon Musk’s xAI to the European Commission after its chatbot Grok made offensive comments about Polish politicians, including Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Polish Digitisation Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski announced on Wednesday that the government will ask Brussels to investigate the chatbot’s offensive remarks. "I have the impression that we are entering a higher level of hate speech, which is driven by algorithms, and that turning a blind eye or ignoring this today... is a mistake that may cost humanity in the future," Gawkowski told RMF FM radio. The minister added that the Ministry of Digitisation will "react in accordance with current regulations" and report the violation to the European Commission to investigate and potentially impose a fine on X. He emphasized that "freedom of speech belongs to humans, not to artificial intelligence." Poland is not the first country to take action against Grok. A Turkish court previously blocked access to some content from the chatbot after authorities said it generated responses insulting President Tayyip Erdogan, modern Turkey’s founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and religious values.
This is quite bad, so I will just give the link rather than post the content. Elon Musk's AI chatbot, Grok, started calling itself 'MechaHitler'
Linda Yaccarino steps down as CEO of Elon Musk’s X Linda Yaccarino on Wednesday announced she is stepping down as CEO of Elon Musk’s social media site X after two years in the role. Yaccarino’s departure comes one day after Musk’s artificial intelligence chatbot Grok repeatedly made antisemitic comments and referenced Hitler in response to posts about the Texas flooding. Grok is built by Musk’s company xAI, which merged with X in March in an all-stock transaction that values the AI company at $80 billion and the social media company at $33 billion. “When @elonmusk and I first spoke of his vision for X, I knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime to carry out the extraordinary mission of this company,” Yaccarino wrote in a post on X. “I’m immensely grateful to him for entrusting me with the responsibility of protecting free speech, turning the company around, and transforming X into the Everything App.” Yaccarino did not give a reason for her departure, but her exit had been in the works for more than a week, a person familiar with the matter told NBC News. Musk responded to Yaccarino’s post on Wednesday and said: “Thank you for your contributions.” Musk announced he hired Yaccarino as CEO of X in May 2023, months after he purchased the social blogging site Twitter for $44 billion. Throughout her two years as chief executive, Yaccarino acted as a staunch supporter of Musk and repeatedly defended him on social media. After Musk hurled insults, including “Go f--- yourself,” at advertisers during the 2023 DealBook Summit, for instance, Yaccarino described Musk’s comments as an “explicit point of view about our position.” “We’re a platform that allows people to make their own decisions,” Yaccarino wrote in a post on X at the time. “And here’s my perspective when it comes to advertising: X is standing at a unique and amazing intersection of Free Speech and Main Street — and the X community is powerful and is here to welcome you. To our partners who believe in our meaningful work — Thank You.” Yaccarino previously worked at NBCUniversal and rose to the top of the company’s global advertising business. She was primarily tasked with overseeing “business operations” at X, which included trying to placate advertisers as the social platform underwent substantial changes to its safety and content moderation policies.
Yea, there is Zero chance this is not a coincidence to elmo going full nazi on X................I am not sure what the end game is letting his AI go full MechaHitler, but it's absolutely disgusting and then there was the same AI that was talking about Linda getting assaulted, it's just sick..................I get free speech and all, but this is not a real person, and they need to regulate this BS
Maybe it's true that money can't buy happiness................but dam, I would sure like to give it a try just to test this theory. The man went from an icon to just a buffoon, all because of maga and politics. The majority of the country hates him, his stock on Tesla is in this gutter and he has hurt his rocket company by going against the US government so now Bezos can get to the front of the kiss ass line. IMO musk should sell tesla if he really cares about the "brand".......................now musk is nothing more than a spoiled richie rich
Elon Musk’s Neuralink filed as ‘disadvantaged business’ before being valued at $9 billion Elon Musk’s health tech company Neuralink labeled itself a “small disadvantaged business” in a federal filing with the U.S. Small Business Administration, shortly before a financing round valued the company at $9 billion. Neuralink is developing a brain-computer interface (BCI) system, with an initial aim to help people with severe paralysis regain some independence. BCI technology broadly can translate a person’s brain signals into commands that allow them to manipulate external technologies just by thinking. Neuralink’s filing, dated April 24, would have reached the SBA at a time when Musk was leading the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency. At DOGE, Musk worked to slash the size of federal agencies. MuskWatch first reported on the details of Neuralink’s April filing. According to the SBA’s website, a designation of SDB means a company is at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more “disadvantaged” persons who must be “socially disadvantaged and economically disadvantaged.” An SDB designation can also help a business “gain preferential access to federal procurement opportunities,” the SBA website says. The Department of Justice has previously fined companies for making false claims about their SDB status. Musk, the world’s wealthiest person, is CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, in addition to his other businesses like artificial intelligence startup xAI and tunneling venture The Boring Company. In 2022, Musk led the $44 billion purchase of Twitter, which he later named X before merging it with xAI. Jared Birchall, a Neuralink executive, was listed as the contact person on the filing from April. Birchall, who also manages Musk’s money as head of his family office, didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Neuralink, which incorporated in Nevada, closed a $650 million funding round in early June at a $9 billion valuation. ARK Invest, Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, Sequoia Capital and Thrive Capital were among the investors. Neuralink said the fresh capital would help the company bring its technology to more patients and develop new devices that “deepen the connection between biological and artificial intelligence.” Under Musk’s leadership at DOGE, the initiative took aim at government agencies that emphasized diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). In February, for example, DOGE and Musk boasted of nixing hundreds of millions of dollars worth of funding for the Department of Education that would have gone towards DEI-related training grants.
