We have a constitutional that people gave their lives for. Follow the law. Charge someone within 24 hours if they committed a crime. If not let them go in time.

When an arrest is made, it takes time for a report to be written, get sergeant approval, be submitted to the District Attorney's office, scanned and uploaded to the system, three new steps here - run through the AI to redact racially identifying information, assigned to a charging deputy for blind review, blind reviewed, actually reviewed, authorized, typed, submitted to the court, and accepted for filing.
