Texas Flood

    A man who has been my best friend for over fourty years lost his home in the recent floods near my home. felt the need to explain my recent absence by posting this link to a pertinent song that happens to be a favorite of mine.

    This event shook me more than any other. Probably because of the age of my children, 8 and 3, and my familiarity with the Guadalupe. I am glad your buddy survived.

    One of the most disturbing events in my lifetime. Tubed Texas rivers many times thru the years. Never imagined anything like this. I'm brokenhearted over the loss of life. Please contribute to a reliable fund if you can. Your fellow Texans need all the help they can get.

    I'm heading to the funeral for one of the teen counselors who died. Taught her a few years ago. Sweet sweet girl, she loved everyone, extremely smart. The whole thing is gut wrenching

    Two funerals this week. Hug your kids tonight. If they are young or old, estranged or part of your daily life, find a way to say you love them.
