It didn't work out in Milwaukee but it was mostly just terrible injury luck. Seems like he regrets ever leaving Portland.

There wouldnt be a market he still getting paid his full salary.

Either he really loves Portland /money or just doesnt give a crap about winning.

I dont get why Portland does this though they got Scoot and traded for Jrue now they want Dame? I guess they regret drafting Scoot but then they should be trying to tank and get high lotto picks.

“Not much of a market for him” lol so delusional! He could’ve helped a bunch of contenders including us.
It basically boils down to your fav Dame word :“Loyalty”.

Bro is salty Houston didn’t want bearded bum ass loser back like Portland wanted Dame back.

I respect this, I get ring chasing but stars who retire in their original franchise typically get looked upon better by their fanbase. Dirk, Kobe, Reggie etc.

Good for him and the Portland fans.

It's good for Dame and his family and it's good for the Portland fanbase. Everyone in the NBA wins on this one.

Trying to juice up the value of team since they are planning to sell? Blazers are going to stink either way for the next few seasons at least. But having Yang Hansen will bring new Chinese fans from overseas and Dame will help sell tickets and help with local TV ratings when he plays again in 2026 or 2027.

Dame is just a loyal and humble dude.

Was barely recruited out of high school. Went to a small college that most people couldn’t find on a map. Drafted by Portland and obviously enjoyed his time there. Pretty sure he still resides there.

Wasn't surprised by this at all.

I’d imagine they will move Jrue and use this season to prioritize Scoot’s development while Dame recovers.

Scoot can probably play alongside Dame, who has always played more like a shooting guard. The vision for Scoot has to be point guard all the way, he needs to try to develop into a plus playmaker. Defense is a problem, but they're not contending for anything anyway. Jrue is at the age where he should be happy to just have a bench gig.
