Following the first poster yesterday, Netflix has premiered the first trailer for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of its supernatural drama series phenomenon “Stranger Things”. Set in the fall of 1987. The opening of the Rifts has impacted Hawkins heavily and our heroes are determined to find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished. Complicating things is that the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a familiar dread as darkness looms more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. Said to be a blend of the first and fourth seasons in tone, the eight-episode run will see all the regulars return including Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, and Sadie Sink as Maxine ‘Max’ Mayfield. Also starring are Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley, Priah Ferguson as Erica Sinclair, Jamie Cambell Bower as Vecna, along with Cara Buono, Amybeth McNulty, and Linda Hamilton in an undisclosed role. Stranger Things 5, Volume 1 (Eps 1-4) releases on November 26th. Stranger Things 5, Volume 2 (Eps 5-7) releases on December 25th. Stranger Things 5, Volume 3 (Ep 8) releases on December 31st. https://www.darkhorizons.com/first-trailer-stranger-things-final-season/
I'm sure I will watch to put a bow on things, but it has to have lost momentum amongst those who were a bit more of the casual viewer with the huge amount of time between seasons. 5 dollars says netflix crashes on New Years Eve when I sit down to watch the final episode. I hear that the weekly episodes are longer than in seasons past. So that is a good thing
Excited for this. I’m hoping they close it out and give it the justice it deserves. Yes, the spacing between seasons has been annoying but the show has been incredible.
Nah, they already have a 10 year career after graduating from college and the kids are wearing them out. Or at least, that's what they look like.
Lucky for me, we just finished binging all 4 seasons back in June so the spacing won't be as bad for us. Sometimes it pays to be late to the party.
Your timing is better than mine. Suffered through a lot of Long lay offs. Netflix better not crash on New Years Eve
finishing up succession this or next week. then i might pick this up. is it a stressful series like succession, cus i don't think i can take another one?
I'm not as excited for this as I would have been a year or two ago. Way too long in between seasons, I've forgotten so much of what happened in season 4. Might have to rewatch it.
Nah it’s a fun ride. Nostalgic, kind of dark but the flow is awesome. The character deaths throughout the series makes sense. I haven’t found someone who doesn’t it love it once they actually dive in.
