Yeah, I have heard a few stories too, but we are hoping the customs agents see us all decked out in our Astros/Rockets gear and let us through! :D

Yeah, we dont really anticipate doing much driving, especially during the first few days, just to get our bearings so hopefully once we get familaised we'll be more comfortable.

Yeah, we will be as ready as we can possibly be when entering the country and hope for the best.

Sure thing, hope you have a great time. Houston gets a bad rap because we don't have a ton of touristy **** to do, but it's a great City to get some good food, drink some good beer or drinks, and we have plenty of great museums, parks, etc that we really aren't that bad to visit.

That Monday will probably be the only day we have a car in Houston city district so will probably try to get accommodation close to NRG.

The absolute best advice I can give a fellow Aussie, after having made the trip of a lifetime to Houston in the past...

Temper your expectations of Houston, real fast.

Second best piece of advice, google bbq places, and go to them.

Haha Duly noted. What areas would you suggest are the best for staying at when going to NRG?

Yeah, I've been a fan of Houston sports for a long time and the opportunity to get to go to an Astros AND Texans game was hard to pass up. What did you not like? Which part of Australia you from?
