That's roughly NT-MLE money next year. I'm not so certain that he'd get that offer. Only Brooklyn is projected to have a lot of cap space nest offseason (again?), and 7 teams used the non-taxpayer MLE this year (according to chat gtp). Free agency has become rough for mid tier players. Next season the projection is only 7% growth in the cap. Things could get really tight with teams dodging aprons. They could let him test RFA and match and come in well under that figure. I haven't looked at the list of potential FA's or RFA's .... Where Tari ranks among them also play a part in what he ultimately gets paid and who gets the leftovers.
Wizards, Bulls, and Jazz also project to a lot of cap space next year. The Rockets financial situation will likely be close to the 2nd apron next season. Teams are generally reluctant to tie up their books on RFA as teams generally match. In Tari's situation, teams will know a financial leverage for the Rockets that they can push past by a large margin with a declining contract such that it is not an overpay for them, but cripples the Rockets. Taking Tari to RFA would not be a wise move unless the 2nd apron doesn't matter.
IF he plays good and is healthy. I imagine he gets like a 4 years Dillion Brooks kind of deal. $18 per.
They cut a min guy and signed another min guy I dont think it changes anything. I think it sends a message if you play like ass better pack your bags. We should see players try harder in the next SL games.
Someone needs to tell those fringe guys in the SL. Don't try to impress the coaches by showing off your "talent." If your talent was impressive, you'd be drafted in the first round. If you really want to get a roster spot, you need to show them you can be a USEFUL ROLE PLAYER, playing good defense, setting good screens, making the right pass, doing all the little things that help your team win.
Tbh that's fine. He can just be the Justin Beiber dude who sells jerseys to teenage girls. As long as he hits 3's I don't need him to be a dawg, we've got a whole pack already to cover for him.
I've seen some people act like this is a negative the relationship we have. The more I see stuff like this the happier I get. Buying in is probably the #1 factor for any team and any coach in any sport. This gives us on and off court leadership all working for the same goal in the same direction. I'm so excited for next season, I could happily skip all of summer, I can't friggin wait!
If he ever does idgaf he needs a statue. Give him a promotion to be Stone's boss too, **** it. In Ime we trust!
But but but Ime is too immature to handle talent like Cam Whitmore! This can’t be! That he’s building relationships with players.
