I agree with this for the most part. Yordan and Pena simply must return. But think if Melton can come back, he can be passable for Meyers, if Jake's done for the year. Meyers' has hit his ceiling. Maybe Melton can hit a few extra HR and steal more bases to help us forget Jake. Garcia could also potentially be a reasonable sub for Arrighetti or Javier. I'm confident if 2 of the 3 return.
I have a lot of questions about Yordan returning healthy. Pena with the ribs probably is a problem too.
Another god awful start. Stared off because Dubon rushed a throw to first for no reason. This reminds me of the early season Astros where we were losing games in the early innings and forced to play catch up.
Irks me how you can make that careless throwing error on what should've been the very first out when you know easy it is for Framber to fall apart.
Huge mistake to bring the kids up vs this set of starters. He's likely to go 0-12 with 8 Ks by the time it's all said and done. Short could have done that and we wouldn't be left with a kid suffering from lack of confidence moving forward.
Agree with this about players returning from injury. Getting Yordan back and adding a lefty bat will make a huge difference in this offense. Why do you feel this way about Meyers? 6-8 weeks is what I've read.
