    It is boring.

Reed is fine, he needs better players and he will look even better.....I hope he only plays 2 games......the rest of the roster is trash.

I tried watching last night and as others have said, outside of Reed, it was hot garbage. Have Reed play about 3 more games and shut him down. And I agree with whoever asked about McVeigh - he should be on this team and he would instantly be the 2nd best player on this SL team.

    I think it's exactly this.

Reed is clearlly the best player, but his instinct is to move the ball and play within the team. Unfortunately, you can only do so much of that when teammates don't cut, or they squander open looks, drive directly into traps, fumble the ball away constantly, etc. Reed must have had 5 or 6 nasty skip passes to a wide open man, and off the top of my head I can't think of a single one that converted. What more can he do?

At that point you have to start looking for your own, but that's easier said than done when the defense knows your teammates are bad. Spacing is going to be suck, picks are less effective, you can't rely on people to be where they're supposed to be when you need to get rid of the ball. etc.

As an aside, a guy like Cam Whitmore probably would have brute forced his way to 50 points on 35 shots with 2 assists and 8 turnovers because that's how he approaches the game. But then Summer League would end, Cam would go back up to his NBA squad, and what would he have learned? How would he have improved?

Reed should only play one more game tops. Hell, I’d be good with shutting him down now. The talent around him is so bad, that you’re not going to be able to see much relative to regular season NBA level basketball. So why risk it?

I liked his confidence. Moved his feet on defense pretty well. I still think he is having trouble beating guys off the dribble. He needs picks to get free. Finishing at the basket was ok. I think when he plays against real nba players, he is going to struggle as an on ball guard for a while. His shot looks very good, so they may be able to get him involved in some Pick and Roll action or depending on who he is playing with camp him on the outside. Looks like to me he has a very similar game to FVV on offense.

How did I miss that? The good thing about them keeping that relationship with him is he was evidently over paid when he was brought over and may be in the $12-15 million dollar range after his current contract is up so we could bring him back and bolster the defense and the gritty culture in just a couple years.

I say give him all the burn you can. The kid really needs to improve his conditioning given the way he's going to have to play. Nash had crazy stamina probably due to his soccer growing up. You can tell when Reed is toast because the shots start falling short. They're generally dead-on, just short.

I do agree that the team is total ass though, outside of him and maybe Chandler. He showed some good stuff.

I thought DB sitting between Ime and Stone during a Rockets SL game was just plain weird. Never seen anything like that before. I absolutely love it as a Rockets fan but would hate it if I were a Suns fan.

Question: Did he also attend the Suns game at Thomas and Mack that was played last night?

It's like he's surrounded by fringe not even NBA players - how can this happen in LVSL

These thoughts are weird. Players develop relationships and friendships within and outside of the league. Obviously, Brooks developed a relationship with both Ime and stone, God forbid a person keeps his relationships after switching work....

They should put Steven Adams on the team just to set picks for Reed... and grab all the bricks his teammates put up. :D

Let's let RS have one more go at it. If he's productive, he graduates from SL.

He was at his best when playing with Chandler. That's not exactly a big backcourt, but it was nice to see how they played off each other.

Reed - hopefully it doesn’t take him a quarter or half to find his groove in every game. Made some great passes to terrible shooters. He will play 1-2 more games and then sit the rest.

Williams - I was hoping to see a lot more from him. At this point I’m not sure why we are using a roster spot on him. He’s clearly a 2-way player at best. Hopefully the rockets can sign Beal and screw over the Clips and Suns at the same time.

There’s not much else to see this summer. Maybe Williams has a better game. Maybe Reed can settle into his shot a little earlier in a game. But that’s it. I think we know who both of the main guys are at this point in their career.

Sad that I might have missed my chance to go to a good Rockets summer league. Maybe 2027 is my next chance unless we trade out of that draft as well.

Things to consider, they didnt have a draft pick this year so its a bunch of people filling a roster along with Reed.
Also important to remember when our team does good in sl we usually don't care bc its sl. We only care when a player or the team is doing bad. At the end of the day its perfectly reasonable for a contending team without a pick does not field a good sl team bc all there key roles are filled out for the most part.

Reed will contribute this year. I can confidently say that. Smart player.

Reed was by far the most aggressive that I've ever seen him play. Loved that. I wish he was more efficient, but they surrounded him with garbage so it's not surprising that he wasn't. Williams needs to be better. Period. He had good energy and effort, but that was his only saving grace.

I remember him doing something similar with the Grizzlies when he was traded a couple years ago. It means nothing
