What a difference a week makes; from printing WS tickets to total despair. Folks, just too many injuries to overcome. Got lucky temporarily with some of the minor league kids, but talent is proven over time.
It's not the end of the world tonight but its losing streaks and the "not much hope out there between the lines" feeling that makes me truly appreciate the run this organization has been on.......
- Season record when scoring 5+ runs: 31 - 6 - Season record when allowing 5+ runs: 4 - 23 Within 4 game losing streak, Astros: - Scored 5+ runs in 2 of 4 games - Allowed 7+ runs in 3 of 4 games. First time all season they've done that Looking like the pitching has lost steam. 1 bad Hunter Brown start can let the whole thing down. Astros offense actually has done kiiiind of enough to at least win 1 more game. Its weak, but not totally Paul Skenes Pirates pathetic. But no team is ever winning allowing 7+ per Still obviously, there's bats becoming the "were what we thought they were" triple-A lineup they are. The pitching side can kinda doctor up a couple of those guys in a pinch. Need another legit bat (or 2) for the runs generation while the pitching sorts itself out.
He thinks look of his well conditioned mullet and the good memories from past is worth what he's paid. Just wait, some nameless internet troll says abusive things online again and he is in victim mode instantly like anybody would be fooled by that smokescreen. Looking at Texas pitchers, their lineup right now and our bats it won't be great suprise if we get swept again. This bad stretch might be blessing in disguise if we add something meaningful at deadline. Winning with AA lineup till 24h after deadline and crash down then might have had terrible effect on 2nd bye and post season dreams. For the 2nd bye there might be dogfight until the end. I would count Yankees stronger than Toronto now, but latter is prob willing to take payroll, trade anyone to strenghten active roster so this could change. Yankees already did their best move and ate 22m with DJ Lam. Got dead bat out, Jazz back to 2nd and morale boost of cooked guy not playing because of contract anymore. Skubal looked terrible. No control and also he looked like he did do gym 3h a day since last start. Stiff af pitching motion. If he's starting to feel weight of first time pitching this much last couple of seasons might mean 1st bye is in play too. Dude is build like a truck but he's 28 and has pitched only bit under 700 innings in whole career. As for us. Put Lance on phantom IL, get some bats and get our mojo back. Had Rangers -1,5 as a lock for first game, happy if we win 1 in this series. Atleast there is big name pitching to look for instead of this amateur crap what Lance brings.
Lance had the corniest championship speech I ever heard. **** was cringe and it was obvious he was trying way too hard to sound "cool" Get this bum off my team
