I’m talking about all the “matte but glossy at the same time” colors. I noticed it here and there about a year ago on SUVs and trucks, but now they’re everywhere and on EVERYTHING. I find it uniformly terrible although it kinda works on the trucks and SUVs, but it’s terrible on everything else. Especially sedans.

    I think they're mostly wraps.

If dirt brown was good enough for my pappy, it's good enough for me.

I have had nothing but black vehicles all my life.

Which is super smart because I live in the pollen capital of the world

No I'm just prone to hyperbole.
We got tons of pollen and poplar fuzz.
Truck is almost yellow in two days in the spring time.

I agree. Glossy/matte makes me think of my car color. Which def grew in popularity for a period but IMO is fizzling out now. That color in the other pic is straight up lifeless matte. You see it a lot on those cybertrucks but wrap cant cover fugly.

That one isn't mine, but same color. And model. Actually I cant tell if it's moon rock (not mine) or cement (mine). Both good examples of what I'm talking about though. Audi and Porsche have a nice shade of that color/finish too.

I saw my first raptor paint job.......they use a raptor paint kit to use in the back of a pick up instead of a liner.................some yahoo did it to his whole truck, it was very odd and didn't realize it was a "thing"

You remember "Rhino Lining"? The indestructible powder coat for truck beds?

Lots of fancy deer leases in South Texas, where you're driving through mesquite and other thorny brush, would rhino-line their entire ranch trucks. Looked like crap, but had no scratches.
