Don’t be surprised if he looks better on a team that’s going to run and attention is on Booker.

I mean yes, by default, Devin Booker and Jalen Green will most likely be the Suns’ “star duo”.

Does that mean the team will be any good? Hard to say.

Until Jalen learns how to beat the trap/blitz with better reads, the Suns will still be a play-in/lottery team...

Spacing will be terrible with this lineup...Ryan Dunn is a inconsistent 3 point shooter, Mark Williams was a low-impact player for the Hornets, and good luck on depending on Dillon Brooks corner 3s...the 27/29 Suns picks are starting to look like precious gold for us!

Agreed. The Warriors drawing up game plans of just stopping Jalen with everything they've got, won't happen in Phoenix.

Because superstar stopper Steph Curry will be on Booker instead.

I see the idiotic takes haven't completely died yet unfortunately.

This claim that Jalen loves to run really needs to stop. The distinction needs to be made - Jalen loves to run when there's no one in front of him.

Jalen doesn't like to push the pace when it's not a clear break away possession, and there's defenders somewhere between him and the rim.

The amount of times he'd walk up the court, makes it truly astounding how people claim the Rockets stopped him from running.

In retrospect, it seems obvious now there was no way Booker was going to leave $72M x 2 on the table in Phoenix to go somewhere else. IMO, he did the right thing.

From the Suns standpoint, Booker is the only point of continuity the team has. May as well keep him as a token for the fans, especially since their team probably won't contend for quite some time regardless. Now they can look forward to retiring his jersey in a few years.

This deal works for both sides.

This deal absolutely only works for Booker. The suns are absolutely doomed with this contract. They won't even be able to field a competent team. Glad we own their picks.

72M for Booker the max contracts have gone up so much you can be really good and still be overpaid. And if they are gonna waive Beal too that means PHX gonna be in cap hell till 2030s. Glad we own their picks.
