Tinman you rock. I loved Mobes and it was a great time to be a Rockets fan. Not a lot of wins, but a team I found easy to love.

Kind of funny to hear him glazing Scottie Pippen in Houston when he was absolute dogshit while here.

Mobley also learned that owning cannabis dispensaries is a license to print money :)

It's more of a Purple Flapjack Fever...

Fun Fact: I used to get irritated by his nonstop 99 schtick and them we met a the bi-annual Stix Gala and we hashed our differences! Turns out he likes Piña Coladas and getting caught in the rain just like I do.... he's also not into yoga!!o_O

Good times, good times indeed! ;)

This pod is awesome! I always loved Cat. Those teams will always be special to me as it was around that time that I got REALLY into basketball.

It’s a shame that it never worked out with Francis, Mobley, and Yao.

But Francis fell off hard fast. He went from being a near MVP level talent to a total non-factor in the blink of an eye.

Much props to Mobley for staying relevant as long as he did in the NBA. A 2nd round pick that had the Houston coaching staff trembling with excitement that he was even available in the 2nd round.

And if not for the injuries that derailed Yao Ming’s career, he had been on the verge of being a generational center that was going to win multiple titles.

still remember how exciting it was when the Rockets had Yao, Francis, and Mobley - it was much potential that just never materialized. Francis being at the lottery to win the #1 pick that was going to be Yao Ming.

Mental health is very serious...wished Steve Francis could've gotten help during his prime because alcoholism shortened his career.

Steve Francis Grandmother passed away during the Orlando time, turned to drugs, it was sad to see, but turned his life around.

There are so many talented athletes that have come through the NBA, but only few will ever amount to the levels of Jordan/Kobe/LeBron levels because of personal issues and other ambitions outside of basketball...not every player has the Jordan "Killer Instinct" or Kobe "Mamba Mentality"...just imagined if Steve Francis had one of those personality attributes. His skillset with the freakish athleticism could have made him a Hall of Famer if it wasn't for the distractions he gave into

Tinman is great, I just like to poke at him occasionally. I've always thought that 99% of us here would get along fine if we met in person.

It's that other 1% we have to keep an eye on.

I ain't no 99er, but I used to post here when it was Clutch City

I went to school with Othella and was living in N"Awluns at the time so I had long been an admirer of Randy Livingston.

You couldn't tell me that team with Dream, Sir Charles, Glide, Medium O, Randy, Mario, Mack, et. al was going to win it all
