Maybe the point is over your head, but the context was just because something is legal doesn't make it moral. It is part of the reason laws are frequently changed.

It can’t be illegal if 77 million people voted for it. They didn’t teach me that in law school, but I’m pretty sure that’s the standard based on what I’m reading here.

 

He would like to jail US criminal citizens in other countries. Not deport US citizens and even that appears to be illegal. So if so I'm against putting criminal US citizens in foreign jails. Now I'm all for building new jails to house US citizen criminals and think alligator Alcatraz was a brilliant idea. Cheap way to house them too. Hopefully they build more of them later in the swamps because that's useable land.
