For sure. I am not saying it should be done, I’m saying I’d explore options and have meetings about it. They moved Tucker and that was awesome for us. Framber was on the market and they didn’t move him him and that’s awesome too. I agree, if you told me his injuries were not going to be the difference between a bye or not and he’d be healthy in the playoffs I wouldn’t even consider the notion of trading him.
Or the ones that advocated to trade Tucker. Hows that one going? I'm not voicing an opinion on if we should or shouldn't but that hand man. It's worrisome
Totally different situations, Tucker wasn't coming back and is going to get 450-500 mil on the FA market. Alvarez is under a sizeable but reasonable contract for the next few years.
And don't forget Pena has 2 controllable years and Ramirez is under contract, below market value for 1 additional season.
I’m on the other side. At this point I don’t care if another six guys get hurt. Doesn’t seem to matter anyway since we beat the **** out of all the good teams no matter who is pitching or what the lineup is. Winning the World Series with half the sugar land roster seems doable to me at this point.
Tucker had one year of team control left and was about to demand a 10 year deal. If that’s what going on with Yordan when his contract expires then we can have a different conversation. For several reasons that won’t be the case.
How in the world was Alex Bregman named to the all-star game despite being hurt for half the games...?
