Most people who put up an ops like Cole’s in AA reach the majors. But almost no one who strikes out in 38% of their pa in AA reaches the majors. If you want to be overly optimistic you can look at George Springer’s AA numbers, he struck out 29.7% of the time and put up similar walk and power numbers. If Cole can get his k rate down under 30% while hitting for this much power he will start to project as much more likely to have major league value.
Kevin Alvarez has gotten all the love down in the DSL and deservedly so, but Anderson Arenaimo continues to plug away for the Orange team. Arenaimo is 3-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base and is now on a 7-game hitting streak (he appeared in yesterday's game but did not have a plate appearance).
The top third of the Orange team's order today (Arenaimo, Juan Rojas, and Luis Millan) all went 3-4 and scored 5 of the 6 runs in their 6-4 win over the Braves.
Twine Palmer allowed a hit and struck out five over three scoreless for Fayetteville. He needed 39 pitches (28 strikes) to get those nine outs, as Fayetteville is keeping his workload down after missing about six weeks between May and June.

What am I missing on his delivery? Looks pretty normal to me. Not overly violent and not out of control.
Joseph Sullivan (15) and Walker Janek (6) both went deep for Asheville. Sullivan had three hits; the other two were doubles. The Tourists beat Greenville 6-5 thanks to a walk-off pinch-hit base hit from Chase Jaworsky.
Anderson Arenaimo is currently 3-3 with two solo homers for the DSL Orange team. He now has 5 home runs on the season.
Dang 5 HR is huge for a 135 pound 18 year old kid in the DSL. Assuming he gets into a couple more he will be in some good company. Fangraphs doesn’t have DSL stats from before 2022 (that I can find) but Luis Baez and Juan Sierra are the only 2 18 year olds to hit more than 7 HR in a DSL season in 2022-2024.
According to Baseball Reference, the last DSL Astros player to hit 7 homers before Baez and Sierra at 18 was Hector Roa in 2013.
You can filter by league instead of level and go back further. Teo hit 7 in 2011, and whoever Hector Roa is hit 7 in 2013. There's only been 10 Astros DSL players since 2006 that hit more than 5 in a season, and it puts him in a tie for 4th in the DSL this year. He's also stolen 10 bases without being caught. One of the best debuts for an Astros international hitter I've ever seen. Not sure I believe power is going to be a big part of his game, but he must be making solid contact. Some guy named Luis Garcia pitched in a game for the first time this year down in the FCL. Gave up a solo HR, but walked no one and struck out 4 in 2 innings. Edit: I see all this has been covered. That's what I get for taking so long to type my comments.
