First off, I've always thought the Utah Summer League was complete junk; especially since it's in Utah.

However, the Sixers/Jazz game has several guys I'm interested in watching.

First off, it seems as if the Sixers should give Ace Bailey a bouquet of flowers for not working out for them. VJ Edgecomb was by far the smartest and most skilled player out there. The gap between him and everyone else was huge. He should do very well playing next to Maxey. Meanwhile, besides showing some incredibly quick hops, Bailey himself seems to have a long way to go. But this is just a first impression.

Cody Williams has put on a few pounds (which was inevitable) but his body still isn't there yet.

Walter Clayton Jr. definitely has the brains to be an effective NBA player, but his career depends on being able to get his shot off and defending. He sure doesn't bring much athletically.

    Johni Broome looked OK.

Bailey is trash. This is why tanking is just a bad idea now. Why pay so much money for a kid that still needs 3 years of development? Tilman seems like he is done paying ungrateful kids millions of dollars.

Summer League is usually a sophomore's contest with a few undrafted guys that are super talented.

    I like Edgecombe's performance.

Of course VJ looked good and Clayton too. I told y'all this was a deep draft.

VJ’s game reminds me of Francis… down to the shooting form.

Looks like OKC picked up a sleeper stud with Brooks Barnhizer. That org has some excellent scouting and development.

Give him a couple of games to adapt before being too harsh.

Utah does not attract major players, guys like Airious Bailey are their only shot.......still some risk involved.

Some notes from firts games: Edgecombe seemed very good, no weaknesses in his game. Ace Bailey seemed to have high potential and seems that he can do whatever he wants with the ball, but little bit selfish few times. Filipowski played big and could be useful in the NBA next season. Sensabaugh had good game too. Cody Williams seems stronger but still quite boring.

Dalton Knecht totally out of rhythm, one nice dunk though. Cole Swider: 26-year-old SF with good shooting touch, played well for Lakers. Adem Bona played well and does everything with great power. Kasparas Jakucionis had a bad game, he moves with good balance and seems to have a good handle, but does not have any great go-to move and NBA will be a large challenge for him. Topic: Had few ugly turnovers, but his crossovers are efficient and he is a good passer and he has quick hands in defence. Seems to have "it".
