Falling in the Draft does not mean anything, Jakucionis also fell and the Heat picked him up.....

I think it is strong immaturity that is blocking him....if he fixes that, there is not much limit to what he can achieve.

GG Jackson fell because he was the youngest player, look at him now, he is a strong scorer.

 

From a team perspective it wasn't the best move to trade Cam, but I think Stone knew that there weren't going to be minutes available and did Cam a solid. We could have kept him and f'ed him over during contract year but decided to trade him so he can play for some $$$.

Also I believe Ime had a huge influence to get rid of Cam. These two unfortunately wouldn't have gotten along even if Cam started to ball out because of his attitude.

 

Pretty meh return, but I honestly kind of expected this. Good situation for Cam though, if he has any hope of developing into a real rotation player it will happen on a team like the Wiz.

 

I do not get it sometimes here, there is no need to shet on him when he leaves......as there was no need to over-hype him as well.

There has to be something visible to the Rockets that is not visible to us fans. Because Cam Whitmore looked dynamic and explosive on the court and he can fill it up offensively. He was averaging around 30ppg on a per 100 possessions basis... and his defensive win shares was HIGHER than his offensive win shares. All this at the age of 20 y/o. So something is amiss here... because under any other circumstance we'd be drooling over this guy as a future star.

 

If not on the Wiz, the Wiz can re-route him to a team that has fewer guards like the Lakers.

 

I HATE this trade. Cam has so much potential. Sure a moody 21 year old but many are and eventually stop being immature. Too bad the Rockets didnt want to nuture his talent, especially with someone like KD coming through the door that can teach by example.

 

The more DD keeps glazing Cam the more I feel it was the right move to let him go.

Cam might not ever turn into a legit star but he has what it takes to be a long term higher level role player in this league, like a Marcus Morris.

I agree that they may regret the Cam trade in the future.

The recent Stone moves have not been a 'heavy cost'.

I question anyone's basketball knowledge if they think punting Jalen Green as far away from this team as possible, is a heavy cost.

Cam will probably put up a solid PPG this season wouldn't shock me of he could average over 20 on a terrible team.

That doesn't mean he's a winning player, time will tell in that regard. When the entire league let's him drop in the draft, watches him play, and still let's him move for so little, it's hard to feel like this is a mistake.
