Reed better be as good as this front office makes him out to be because if he has a 2nd year flop, our guard depth looks awfully weak.

Idk where the scoring is gonna come from if KD goes down to injury.

I regret to inform you that Reed has just been traded for Billy Paultz and a future 2nd rounder.

Yes indeed. Reed must become a legit rotation player this year. Rockets are putting their trust in him during a "win now" season. That is a very big vote of confidence.

I want him to attempt minimum 6 3 pointers per game. Pick and roll should be his bread and butter. I would only play zone when Reed is in especially with double big line up.

Supposedly, the rockets believe he’s going to be a future star…

If Reed flops they will make a huge trade. They still have 5 really good picks FVV, Adams, Capella, DFS, Tari and the bench warmers as trade fodder. It is a gamble, but not as big as people think.

A rotation player is not good enough, when he’s being hyped up to be a star, if not he’s a bust.

I don't expect Reed to emerge as a star in his second year. That is an unfair expectation of a very young player who came off the bench his only year in college. His first step is to be impactful against second units. If he does that this year, I'll be satisfied. If he far exceeds that, I'll be as happy as anyone else.

This. Very reasonable expectation and how I see it. If he is not a reliable rotation piece this year they will have to make a trade for another guard, not necessarily using Reed in the transaction. Most young kids take a while to be productive in the NBA. Amen is an exception to the rule.

With Cam gone Reed needs all the backup PG and SG minutes.

I could ALWAYS be wrong. But to me there seems to really be something there with Sheppard. Like the day he retires he may be top 25 all time in 3 pointers made type career.

I could see an Amen or Tate paired up with Reed as our back up guard rotation.

If Cocaine Curry averages 31 points a game this year, we going to sweep the finals, every game by double digits, and force a few coaches off the sideline and several older NBA players into retirement along the way.

Reed is committed and will be a rotational piece this upcoming season. He’s too smart and skilled not to become a good NBA player.

That said we do need a scorer off the bench. Any way to get a Malik Monk up in here?

I feel the same way. He has the potential to be an all star level player. I can see him becoming a Dragic/Mark Price-Reddick hybrid.
