This is true, but Ime definitely is in the clock. He got rid of all distractions and only has his types of players now.

No premier dribblers, pressure this team and we will struggle.

The ONLY way this works is if Reed and/or Amen become creators...with much better handles.

There's no telling what they'd have added to Sengun+Mobley in the next 4 years. You can't compare what they ended up with over 4 years to what they'd have had immediately.

I know you miss your guy, but there's no defending picking the bust.

Every team in the NBA has flaws, even the Thunder. Also, Cam Whitmore wasn’t going to consistently save the Rockets’ offense if Kevin Durant or Alperen Sengun miss significant time. A trade for a better scorer would have to be made.

I genuinely hope Whitmore grows up in D.C., but he’s the reason he was traded today. Until he changes his mindset that the only thing that matters on the basketball court is putting up shots and scoring points, he’s going to struggle to carve out a significant role in the NBA.

Yes, UDOKA dictating the shots and not the GM! Stone should’ve stood firm to UDOKA and said you Coach and let me do what is best for the organization!!

Those 2 second rounders are Pennie’s!!! If Cam didn’t develop…. nothing lost but pennies, but if he develops you could cash in a lot more than Pennie’s or possibly have him as part of the core!

The Wizards clearly took advantage of a GM that allowed his subordinate who couldn’t coach a 20yr old to make the call!!!!

Udoka has a lot power now he just signed a big deal and has a longer contract than Stone. It is what it is. Stone is not gonna fall out with Ime over freaking Cam Whitmore cuz he doesnt have anger issues like you.

If you cant compare why are you even trying to argue Mobley would've been better? Thats just a nonsensical argument you are making.

Amen is better than Mobley right now. I dont give a crap about Mobley esp when he is overpaid AF. What has he done for the Cavs? They've been disappointments for 2 yrs now and will continue to be disappointments because Mobley is an overpaid role player. Gonna make almost as much as SGA no wonder Cavs keep losing in the 2nd round.

I didnt even mention Green because Amen+Jabari+Reed is better than just Mobley. Thats just the truth so quit crying about Mobley.

Meh. We all saw this coming. Hoping these second rounders are good ones.

I get why it happened, but this is unlikely to age well. He’s way more talented and has more upside than any of the TyTy’s, KJ’s and Garuba’s that we have previously dumped under similar circumstances.

Also hoping this means Stone will get to work trying to replace him with a value shooter. Somebody under-the-radar that can add some depth and floor spacing. Maybe it’s this Harris guy.

Cam is neither a premier dribbler, or even remotely competent playmaker, DD. If Reed, or Amen doesn’t develop in these areas, they can use their assets to pick up somebody else.

Amen+Jabari+ Reed are Rockets not sure what you are on about.

enjoy being a Cavs fan. Go away go to the cavs message board.

As usual your ego is so big you'd rather keep digging a bigger hole for yourself than admit you were wrong.

The Cam hero worship is way way over the top. But the compensation for Cam is not adequate. Given that the compensation is likely impacted by Cam’s poor attitude it’s hard to kill Stone over the return. The alternative was to just hold him on the roster and I doubt you improve the return and u just undermine the team vibes. Pretty much a no-win situation.

The Wafers and Whitmores of the world just are not good to keep around. I hope we did this now so we can work on expanding the KD trade and include a wing / guard.
I do think we didn’t handle this very well.

If FVV is our only shooter at guard we are sunk. The trade today effectively ends are chance at the Finals next year. Hey but we’re under the cap and that makes me happy.
