Maluach as a generational defensive talent lmao.... the same guy who was absolutely worthless on that end against U of H - was outworked by guys half his size, and grabbed zero rebounds... in the most important game of his life up to that point.

Maybe he lives up to his hype, but I just don't see it.

Jordan Ott has a good template to work from with the Cavs. They know they want to keep Booker happy. Time will tell.

Phoenix made some strong moves other than the Durant trade that may improve the team, but it’s hard to understand how Green was the right player for them, especially when they already have Booker. Personally, I can’t see them really competing for a championship as long as Ishbia’s in charge. I read an interview with him and he sounds absolutely delusional.

Jalen was only in the trade for salary matching. The 10th pick in this year's draft was the best asset that any team offered to PHX in any Durant trade proposal. Good thing they blew it on Maluach lol.

Maluach is an upside swing--he hasn't been playing basketball long. He could be a bust, or he could develop into something special over the long term.

Good news for us is that I highly doubt he's ready to make a positive impact on winning NBA games for at least two or three years.

Rasheer Fleming may actually be more ready to contribute for them--but likely only in a 3nD role off the bench.

    Good Bye and Good Riddance.

All he ever did was talk down to literally everyone who didn't agree with him.

    So... logically:
If Jalen Green "led" the Rockets to a #2 seed, and the Suns didn't even make the playoffs with an "aging superstar", what does that say about Book?
Who's the TopDog there now, according to the blogger? Jalen or Book?

Jalen Green didn't lead us to the Second Seed. It was Alpern stepping up and Amen coming to his own.. if they are truly happy with Jalen, Good. I wish them the best of luck with the kid. They'll be making excuses for his failures until he's gone.

Those UH teams are always special.....how did Florida win it.....

So Maluach playing well against 80% of teams should do.

Without coach hounding Green to play defense there is a strong possibility he will regress back to his former self. (As long as we control the Suns draft picks) Green is still a Rocket, on the down low. He is playing the role of a mole and doesn’t know it. Just like KPJ didn’t, but it will work out just the same on the court. TRUST that Green will get HIS numbers and by doing such we will have our higher picks. Making me a bigger fan of his now than ever. He just needs to be himself. Average 30+ points a game while giving up 35+ points. Make every highlight every single game. You are the “new NBA” Mr. Green.

How one views the trade depends on how Jalen's talent is perceived. If you believe he can be a numero uno on a contender, then of course you don't trade him for an aging KD. But I think most reasonable Rockets fans (not extreme haters) believe that the likelihood of Jalen breaking out to be a superstar is very low. That potential is dwindling fast.

I used to argue against trade Jalen even after 3 seasons. After 4 seasons? Got to let go.

as long as kd doesn't get injured, u cant be too upset we only had to trade green, a pick and brooks for him.

If green plays up to his potential and kd gets injured, that's would b worst case scenario.

im curious on who would b the rockets forum next punching bag.

If KD doesn’t work out I could see this board saying Stone needs to be fired for trading Jalen and not drafting Maluach

Part of me originally wanted to trade Sengun for Giannis and trade up for Maluach. I’m interested in seeing the Booker / Green / Maluach trio down the line

Next punching bag is going to be Stone and KD. I'm calling that right now...

If everyone stays healthy and the Rockets fail to get past the first round, it is on Ime and Ime alone. Ime showed some positive signs in trying different rotations to help the offense. If he continues that trend we will be contenders for years to come. It really will come down to how he utilizes FVV and Jabari. I have no doubt that Sengun, KD, and Amen will have outstanding years barring injury.

And when they do get for. Nine that contract Gren will be 25 about to enter his prime.
If the Rockets didn’t win a championship in the next 4 years , Phoenix won the trade. Because was underwhelming as Green can be, he still has a ceiling to reach.

which is why is at he rocket need to gk all
I since they made the kd trade. Trade for Giannis at this point. You need to ensure that you at the very least make the finals( and that’s being nice. Reall the goal is championship or bust). We were already a first/second round playoff team as is.

Once we start moving our pieces of the core, it’s time to go all in.
Jalen gone, Cam is next. I don’t have no faith in Ine’s leash on Reed or his development. Jsut go all in and ensure us a championship before our cracks and breaks on us.
We can afford to move Sengun. We have Capela and Adams

Sengun Cam and Reed/draft picks for Giannis
