    Honestly would shortlist it for most beautifuly lush recorded albums ever from the absolute zenith of the golden age of record production.

    Maybe because its kind of a 1 off and she did a bunch of sunny vapid British pop otherwise, it kind of gets lost but it is genuinely special.

    Rather than suggest Ella Fitzgerald albums, I will give some songs.



    The Video and Audio seem a bit out of Synch.





    You didn't say how old your Daughter is, so just letting you know that some people use the Song title as a slang sexual reference.

    PJ Harvey - Rid of Me

    Her early stuff went hard before she was subsumed by the industry. My favorite was actually 4 Track Demos, but it is literally her demos and is super rough.

    Also, not really my personal favorite, but

    Amy Winehouse - Back to Black

    belongs in there somewhere and might be a better bridge to someone with more modern sensabilities

    Roberta Flack had multiple hits, but not so much together on one album. Maybe focus on her hits rather than her albums.
