I’ll never understand notion KD destroyed any teams. Brooklyn was an amazing run prior to Harden & Kyrie injuries. That team was absolutely wrecking teams when they played together. The 2nd year was COIVID and Kyries bullshit. I can see why KD wanted out. KD balled out for PHX as well it’s not his fault the rest of that team absolutely sucked and the owner is arguably one of the worst in sports, again I can see why KD asked to be traded.

The way I saw it, everyone of the Nets Big 3 shared some blame for destroying what could have been. Kyrie's anti-vax thing started it. Harden being impatient with the injuries and Kyrie's antic forced KD to take side. KD instead of being the mature leader sided with Kyrie which dropped the final straw for Harden wanting out.

All three guys are flaky dudes. I've never liked Durant's character. But he's undeniably one of the greatest players of all time.

You should check out his western conference finals highlights when he was with the Warriors. Get your popcorn.

The more days pass the more I like this trade.

KD is prob one of the most underrated players ever. People always discount him because he went to GSW, but people forget he was also the reason GSW dominated so much, he won Finals MVP and basically solo'd prime Lebron and shut him down.

If you look at his stats, KD has a case for being one of the top 3 players in the league at 36 yrs old which is unheard off, even Lebron wasnt this good at age 36. Forget his history of 15 seasons scoring 60%+ TS, just this season the dude was scoring at 64% TS which is even higher than SGA and only a little bit worse than Jokic. And apparently his defense is still elite at his age, I thought the dude would have fallen off a bit by now but according to some stats he is still one of the better 1 on 1 defenders in the league.

The way KD has been playing I think he can play till he is 45 or w/e, it just depends on if his health holds up and if he wants to play that long. I think 40 is def achievable, and I wouldnt mind a 4 yr deal if it means he signs for a discount on that extension.

The reason was that he did not achieve a championship with OKC and when he got older he teamed up with Harden and Kyrie and DA Jordan.

That was a disaster.... and you knew exactly why he is not popular, he runs his mouth on social media.

Also he said he probably plays for his home DC but he never did.

It was never just about his game, he just had too much going on around him, tons of baggage, lost friendships or torn down bridges.

For all that claim that losing Dillon Brooks will tank Houston’s defense

I never understood the stigma of teaming up with other stars, nobody blames Steph Curry for teaming up with 3 other all stars.

Why does it matter if a star teams up with other stars on his own initiative vs if a GM makes a team with multiple stars? The end result is the same the star teams up with other stars. If Steph can play with 3 other all stars and nobody has an issue with that not sure why KD cant play with Irving and Harden.

I think his main issue is he didnt know when to stop,on the Nets if he didnt trade for Harden or if they never traded for Beal IMO both the Nets and Suns would have been contenders for a long time. When they lose their depth for that 3rd is always when their problems start.

So unless Rox do something dumb and trade the farm for Giannis I am confident this time will be different from his other stops.

KD needs to get off twitter. While I appreciate him being interactive and accessible to the public.... that **** is just bad for his PSY given that he is a mental midget at times.

Having said that, I don't think he has "destroyed" any franchises... it's not his fault the managements made stupid decisions and set their teams up for failure. KD just happened to be there.

    Meh

Does it even count with KD?

A soulless mercenary who hops from top team to top team (never builds) and abandons them when facing any adversity while putting up pointless stats to save face

Of course he is talented and efficient so everyone allows it but it's hard to celebrate. Rockets took the easy route out here , will iikely win a couple of championships, but it won't mean much to me.

KD will have many statistical records when he retires but shouldn't be in top player lists
