If Stone had not fcked up part of it with the players and smaller draft assets and had gotten the PHI 2027 pick this trade may put the The Great Trade Robbery to shame.

 

Well, there are 7 teams there. Someone might want Cam that has something someone else wants that has something PHX wants.

The purpose of the NBA is to win a championship. When you have a bunch of talent, a team has to make decisions. The Rockets aren't some movie villain trying to thwart Cam's development.

 

Just heard from SI that Cam is likely going to Lakers as a throw in for the DFS signing to make it a sign and trade and keep the Rockets below the apron. The Lakers now with LJ, Doncic, Ayton, Reeves, and Cam are definitely contenders and we will regret giving them a 20+ ppg Cam for absolutely zippo just to save some bucks.

Does this mean Cam is safe from LA?

I assume if they were getting him they would find a way to fold him into this package.

I was replying to the post that asked if we could include Cam to get Fleming from Phoenix, but Phoenix didn't want Cam.

I actually wouldn't mind trading Cam for Fleming.

 

I could be wrong but Im not sure its that Phoenix didnt want Cam, but rather the deal wouldve changed quite a bit.

Again, I could be wrong but I think either instead of Brooks we'd have sent Jalen, Jock, Holiday, Cam or....Jalen, Brooks, Cam and they send us Royce Oneale back.

Because of the salaries I dont think it was just as simple as Cam or 5 seconds.

Jalen and the #10 pick were both lynchpins to the deal. All the “Suns don’t want Jalen” was because they wanted Jabari more. Jalen is not a good fit with Booker, but he will play better basketball in a more wide open offense and then his worth becomes 2 frp’s. It was a good trade for both teams. Jalen isn’t a good fit for either team, but they will showcase him and trade him. The real value of this deal to the Suns will not be realized right away but in a couple of years.

 

I’m with you. Once we have a few weeks of kd knocking down an efficient 25 a game and we winning all this talk about Jalen, Cam, and what-ifs will be out the window (and I can’t wait).
