this season is so fuggin weird. if you tell me Shay Whitcomb out of all people on the roster to have the longest HR distance of the season, i'd be laughing at you before the season started. cwalk, yainer, altuve are all somewhat struggling. your best hitters are Pena, Meyers, and the rookie Cam. bunch of AAA no names pitchers just doing enough to win games. teams can barely hit whenever the bases are juiced.
So the Cam Smith obligatory 0-2 count before working it back to 2-2 or 3-2 then getting a big hit. I've never seen the likes of this in my life.
imagine putting paredes and cam back-to-back in the lineup. pitchers would be exhausted after facing these two.
The one today was just unfortunate that could happen anywhere but yes to the bloops last night. There is a ton of space in the OF due to the dimensions.
IMO, Denver shouldn't have an MLB team. That elevation just isn't conducive for this sport. Like playing on the ****ing moon.
Hummel has been quietly productive since being dug out of the bargain bin. Hopefully he can keep it up.
