Clutch, isnt that wrong, if he was 12-18, thats not bad shooting I think it was 6 for 18? maybe a typo on the front page!
I think it was more like... 35MIN 6-18FG 2-4 3PT 4-5FT 2REB 1 ASST 3TO 2STL 1BLK 5PF 18PTS ...or something like that..
yeah he didn't shoot that good, but iam not really worried about him.iam hoping the other half to our duo ge it togeather, thats what iam woried about.
I think we should have given Tracy the ball more..he can get past anyone..for one period..where both teams made 5 consecutive threes...Tmac was scoring and setting people up. You could feel the momentum on the ROckets' side..and Tmacl eading it..AHHH we need more time together definitely..we need to make open shots..they need to get used to playing with each other and become a team. Tracy can get past anyone. I would like him to drive and draw fouls or dish or whatever..he would probably get tired..Lue can do that once in a while..Ward should shoot when he's open..We will do better today definitely.
Two words: Tayshaun Prince. McGrady won't have to go against a defender like him most nights. Tay's length makes it very hard to hit jumpers, and get easy baskets at the rim. McGrady did most of what he did tonight when Tay was on the bench, btw.
Nothing like a 4 on 2 fastbreak with a pull up 3 ptr Rocket River I'm not worried .. . it was game one
Yeah that fast break did look ugly...in fact, anytime the Rockets ran it looked kinda ugly. They didn't spread the floor at all, even when Ward led that one he took all the way. That being said, as ugly as it was...somehow, it was light years ahead of last year's break. Where all 5 guys looked utterly confused while stumbling and one guy would probably get a charging call in a 3 on 1
I'm assuming you're talking about the one late in the 4th... We were down 3 possessions (7 points if memory serves) fairly late in the game. TMac is very comfortable with the pull up 3 coming up the court (see the possession where the ball went way into the backcourt, TMac tracks it down, dribbles it up the court and buries a triple). The thinking was, if he hits, the momentum shifts, very little time goes off the clock, and the lead is cut down more than a layup. I saw TMac make some great entry/interior passes, and not many poor decisions.
Yeah, he knows who to get the ball to. But ya, they still need to run the fast break better. They are walking up the court too many times. When Yao is off the floor they need to push the ball a little.
