No Cam trade yet despite great efforts to deal him. The reporting is we are seeking non-player assets for him. What do you think Cam’s value is around the league?
I would hope we could get a first rounder, but I'm worried his actual value is more like a high-ish 2nd or two crappy 2nds.
I feel he’s worth a late first, but considering he doesn’t get any minutes that’ll likely decrease his value in the trade market to 2 second rounders if not just 1
a little over a year ago we could have probably gotten the spurms #8 pick. cam’s slow start this past season and attitude thereafter are a big reason for his drop in minutes, production, and value. but let’s not pretend that udoka’s stubbornness & fat ego haven’t also played a role in that plus his refusal to salvage the relationship with a kid whose talent now fits the roster needs to a T
People are low balling they know the situation. He would hate it, but just keep him - and see what happens, maybe injuries open up a spot, maybe he plays the way Ime wants.....his salary is so low, you just aren't going to get much, but you could use him and his salary during the season with others in December. DD
That trade is in the ballpark. I feel like Cam is better than him though. You would think the Wizards or the Griz would be blowing up our phones. Heck even the Magic should have interest.
I would just play him the first 20 games and see what happens. 20 min per. If needed in Dec-Feb trade for someone.
Dalton Knecht is really complaining about the Lakers letting the Rockets signing DFS so maybe we could trade Cam for Dalton? Everyone happy, especially me!
