There is no need to panic. I have to say - this team is young... this team has not played together... but.. i think these off season moves and what we have added look like the real deal folks.... Nachbar is impressing me. I want to see a little more tenacious defense from both these PG's... but overall... I think its looking like this team can win some games. Detroit is a good test for our frontline especially.

Ok, we get it. You don't like Yao and he is to blame for everything.

And what, the NBA has turned into the WWE? Is Big Ben going to pull out the chair from behind the goal to smack TMac as he goes in for a dunk?

This was a first game, and we do have gelling to do. I was very unimpressed with Charlie Ward. I hope Sura has a full recovery and can come here and help us at the pg. Lue was hot in spots, and I think I prefer him to Charlie Ward.

T-Mac did not have a good game tonight, but he showed spots. Yao struggled, and hopefully that was just due to his elbow. Howard was also not impressive, and I wouldn't want to rush to trade Mo Taylor.

I think the team is capable of improvement, and will be solid in under a month.

I am certainly not going to throw in the towel on this team or anyone on it at this point. We played them close for most of the game, despite a slack defense and a lot of miscues on offense.

One game is not what my judgement is based on. It's based on the preseason. It's based on the playoff performance. It's based on the late season performance last year. He seemed to have lost the touch from short to mid range whether it is the hook or the jumper. I can only think that he might not be dedicating himself enough in practice to drills.

People never change. Frist game, a new team, an injured Yao, against last year's champ, in their home court, and on top of that, a super hot Rasheed, and some stupid calls, some of the super loyal fans just jumped out whining and complaining of everybody on the team. Why don't you just give up, and watch Lakers? When they lose a game, just switch to some other teams, make sure you are always at the winning side.

Ben Wallace and TMac have a little history together. There's no need to test a man with the strength of a mack truck.

So you are saying that Ben might hurt T-Mac, and he shouldn't drive. I guess every team will copy the receipt, make a little history, after a month, T-Mac will try to become Steve Kerr. Same thing could happen to Yao, people might hurt him, he should just stay away from the paint and throw up 3's.

There are just so many things wrong with this statement. Just think about where he came from, the coach he plays for now, and the work ethic both preach and you will see how bad that statement is.

You've got to be kidding me. I don't mind the other stuff you are saying because it's your opinion and you're entitled to it. But I don't think there's any truth to this comment. Every single coach that Yao has played for; Rudy, JVG, Harris has commented on Yao working hard on his game and putting in extra time in the gym. And on more than one occasion, I've heard reports of Yao going out to the stadium hours before a game to work out with Ewing.

I think his shot will be fine. I was a bit more disappointed with his defense tonight. He flashed a number of times on help defense, but didn't get back to his man quick enough. Which lead to some scores and offensive boards by the Wallaces.

Away game versus the champs n we lost... i can accept it... I think the turning point of the game was at the start of 4 quarter when pistons have most of thier starters in the game n we have most of our subs in it..... what the hell JVG is thinkin...
I will hit the panic button if we lost tomorrow to the lowly raptors

    Then shut the hell up.

    You don't say... Brilliant!

Who was that big fat guy that he played against? Something like, top 5 center of all time? I could be wrong.

When he ran out of gas after averaging 20 for the month before last?

I'm sorry if i seem a little mean, but thats just me. I'm just a mother******* mother******. All this compaining is based on insignificant triflings you blow out of proportion in your mind.

Don't worry so much. Wait a few months. If Yao is still 50% from the line, or clanking all of his jumpers, do b**** on. I would gladly step aside and not complain at all at your royal b****iness. Til then, lets just watch them play. Fair enough?

TMac has a bad back. I don't think Ben Wallace likes TMac. Les just gave TMac a big extension. I see no reason why TMac should be risking life and limb running into He-man. The guy started gunning it from outside which allowed him the luxury of not having to kill himself inside.

    Two words, Jim Jackson.

I said this last year, I'll say it again this year. Until they put this guy on the bench, the Rockets won't go anywhere. This is a role player, but he thinks he is still a star in this league. What we need at 3 is am energy guy with good defense, only shoot when open. Hopefully, Boki can develop into a decent starter, help the Rockets at 3.

so YOU don't think Wallace like TMac?

So basically you want Tmac to kind of half-ass it since he is getting paid big bucks. I guess you want him to become the highest paid 3pt shooter in history.

Let me fill you in. TMac, despite all his highlights on ESPN has been a guy who takes alot of jump shots anyway. It has nothing to do with this game. He did still drive to the basket more than a few times, and right into "He-man."

I can't believe on the one play that Yao actually took my advice, he got a foul called on him. That offensive foul in the first half against Ben was totally bogus. They didn't have a replay, but watching it at full speed, it was absolutely nothing. Yao had his elbows up but wasn't swinging it wildly. He had both hands on the ball, so it's not like he was pushing off with an off-arm.

I just hate how everybody in the media and fans wants Yao to get more aggressive and less "soft", but then when he finally does do a strong move to the basket, he gets called for these ridiculous offensive fouls. It's a no-win situation.

    Two words, Mor On.

Ok so that was more like one word. Jim Jackson was our most consistent starter last year. Our best perimeter defender(with Mobley) last year. Our best shooter. Our leader.

So he takes a bad shot from time to time. In no way does that discount all the good that he does, which in many cases do not involve scoring. Boki would be nice, but he is in no way ready.

I hate to repeat myself, but.. Mor On.

    1. Yao played like a p***y.

    2. TMac didn't shoot well.

    3. Our PGs SUCK.

    4. JVG is making us play the wrong type of basketball.

Bostjan was the only highlight of the night.

i agreed with m_cable... tha's why i dont think yao will ever be a dominant center in this league cos the refs just wont allow him to ... he got hack no fouls called, one power move to the basket, offensive fouls.....

What is even more amazing, in that picture, is how the ref is allowing Big Ben to use both arms on Yao's back. That is as illegal as it gets.
